Twitch Rivals helps Teamfight Tactics return to the top of the charts after a couple of weeks of declining viewership.
Meanwhile, the raid race to world first provides a boost in viewership for World of Warcraft as numerous channels covering the race record notable hours watched totals.
The following content is ranked according to the total number of hours watched on Twitch from Monday to the following Sunday, with data compiled using TEO Access.
Tactical Takedown
Earlier this year Twitch Rivals assisted Apex Legends just after it was released by hosting a tournament for the new Electronic Arts title that generated impressive viewership, and this past week, the influencer-driven esports organizer did that same for Teamfight Tactics.
While TFT had seen a couple of weeks of declining viewership, the Twitch Rivals event helped provide a boost in hours watched through both the Twitch Rivals channel itself and the channels of influencers who participated in the tournament.
The end result was TFT having its strongest week of viewership since the auto-battler was released for beta testing in the middle of June.
This Means Warcraft
Esports organization Method has again provided a jolt in viewership for World of Warcraft as it provides 24/7 coverage of the race to complete the game’s newly released raid. However, this time around, it’s not just Method streaming.
Outside of Method’s 4M hours watched this past week, Red Bull has racked up a notable amount of hours watched for its broadcast that heavily features top North American guild Limit and European guild Pieces.
Additionally, the channels of a few notable players such as Method co-founder Scott “Sco” McMillan and Limit GM Max “Maximum” Smith have helped WoW record more than 10M hours watched for the week.
Building Blocks
Following the conclusion of Fortnite World Cup qualifying, viewership for the leading battle royale title has seen a dip due in part to inconsistent schedules for many top influencers throughout the course of the summer.
However, as the World Cup quickly approaches, Fortnite has seen a steady increase in hours watched with top influencers such as Turner “Tfue” Tenney and Tyler “Ninja” Blevins leading the way. Each influencer recorded more than 1M hours watched this past week putting themselves in the top 10 channels of the week as well as assisting the game’s hours watched total.
