Previous PSG coach ‘QQQ’ leads Team Aster

Yi will come out of his retirement to join the Aster Team and replace Tong “Mikasa” Junjie. Yi will join Team Aster.

Aster announced the move Wednesday on its Weibo page.

During its tenure that commenced in July 2017 and ended when it retired after The International 2019, QQQ led PSG.LGD to great success. He contributed to PSG.LGD’s second position in TI 2018 and third in TI 2019 and led them to several top-three finishes at marquee events–including victories at EPICENTER XL and at MDL Changsha Major in 2018.

Since TI 2019 QQQ asked for his time off, and PSG.LGD expressed its best wishes to him “for the future.” He returned to Dota 6 months later to assisted Team Aster in the preparation of the 2 Minor Season 3 StartLadder ImbaTV Dota.

Nevertheless, QQQ can not be a part of his new team due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. Team Aster said that Team Sirius coach Zhang “LaNm” Zhicheng will serve as a temporary coach for the preparation of the tournaments.

Team Aster is now at Dota Pro Circuit No. 11 with 340 points at the top two of the Majors of the season. The team has reached a place in Los Angeles and wants to run in order to secure a spot on the next ESL One in Los Angeles.
