- Overwatch Contenders Australia 2019 season 1 finals will take place at IEM Sydney.
- Contenders will not feature on the same main stage as the CS:GO tournament.
- The Contenders season 2 finals will again take place at the Melbourne Esports Open.
For the first time, the finals for 2019 Season 1 of Overwatch 
Contenders Australia will take place at Intel Extreme Masters Sydney, from May 4-5. The top four teams from the regular season will compete for $100K USD prize pool and a place in the Overwatch Pacific Showdown in China on May 24-26.
In previous years the Season 1 Overwatch Contenders final has taken place in the ESL
