Today SK Gaming, the German-based esports organization, announced that it has signed a sponsorship deal that will bring OnePlus on as its official smartphone partner. OnePlus is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer that produces the OnePlus 7T, its high-end model that has both Android10 and Oxygen 10.0 operating systems.
According to the release, OnePlus will be providing its smartphones to the organization, which will help its Clash Royale squad prepare for the Clash Royale League Finals taking place on Dec. 7 in Los Angeles.
“A powerful team and a powerful smartphone – these two fit together perfectly. Therefore, we are pleased to be an official smartphone partner of SK Gaming and to be able to support the players in their success in every way, ” said Martin Kang, country manager Germany at OnePlus.
The sponsorship of OnePlus fits in well with the SK Gaming group as it is also sponsored by Deutsche Telekom, Germany’s largest telecom company, who did €75.7B ($83.8B) in revenue in 2018.
OnePlus, since its inception in 2013, now does $1.5B in revenue annually and is projected to hit $1.9B at the end of Q4 2019.
OnePlus now joins the likes of Matrix Fitness and Mercedes-Benz as a partner in the SK Gaming sponsorship portfolio.
SK Gaming also fields teams in the League of Legends European Championship (LEC), as well as FIFA, SMITE, and Hearthstone.
Financial details and length of contract of the sponsorship were not disclosed.
