North has announced a renewal and expansion of its partnership with French technology corporation Capgemini.
The two companies initially joined forces last April, with the deal including a jersey sponsorship.

The initial deal saw Capgemini’s logo feature on North’s team jersey throughout 2019. Capgemini also launched several initiatives for employees and partners to promote esports and attract future tech-interested employees, a move which it claims has been a resounding success.
Claus Rydkjær, Managing Director of Capgemini Denmark discussed the extended deal: “Our innovative partnership with North has exceeded our expectations. We have been able to actively engage both current and future employees, as well as our customers in the collaboration, which has helped to strengthen our position in the market. As the collaboration with North supports Capgemini’s ambitious plans, we have chosen to extend and intensify our agreement.”

The renewed deal will see Capgemini continue to feature on all-new jerseys following the Danish organisation’s 2020 rebrand. Each esport that North competes in – FIFA, Apex Legends, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – will feature a unique design. The partners are also set to develop data analytics software that will provide insight into the performance of North’s players and “create structured training to develop key areas.”
Christopher Håkonsson, CEO of North also commented: “We are thrilled to continue building upon a successful partnership with one of the leading IT companies in the world. And we’re even more eager to set new ambitions of developing new software that can help us improving our esport teams.”
Esports Insider says: The development of a new performance-based data analytics software is an interesting detail that could provide a vital edge for North to compete at the highest level. Even ignoring that, it’s good to see the partnership continue after a seemingly-successful first year.
