Ninjas in Pyjamas and Alliance failed to qualify for the EPICENTER Major. Yet it seems like both teams have learned from their mistakes as they both have managed to to secure slots for the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor. It wasn’t an easy job since both teams had fight decent rivals to make their mark in the EU qualifiers.
The FInal Tribe was the only other team that had a decent competitive experience. The EU side managed to survive the group stage to give a Alliance and NiP tough time in the playoffs. The first game NiP comprehensively dominated The FInal Tribe. After that the Ninjas faced Alliance who were yet to drop a match.
The meeting between the two was quite fascinating. In the first game NiP dominated from the first minute and managed to end the it in 29 minutes. In games two Alliance exhibited that they were no pushovers. The game lasted for over 60 minutes with some impressive exchanges between the both teams. Yet, at the end of the, it was NiP who ended the series 2-0.
No worries for NiP
This win guarantees NiP a slot for the last Minor of the season. We believe that even if the side didn’t qualify for the Minor, they would still have secured a slot for the TI9. Since they have accumulated a total sum of 2470 Dota Pro Circuit points and are sitting at 8th place. This Minor and possibly a Major qualification could prove to be valuable for the team to prepare for the The International.

Meanwhile, coming back to Alliance, after getting defeated by NiP they had to take on TFT, where the winner get the slot to Minor. The former TI champions completely outplayed their opponents and got the last slot for the minor. But unlike NiP they will have to fight hard for the TI slot. Since they are currently sitting at 15th place in the ranking and will have to perform quite well in the Minor to make it into the top 12.
Alliance is back!
We believe that if Alliance makes it to the grand finale of the Minor and manage to qualify for EPICENTER. Then they will a good chance for TI qualification. Since Chaos Esports Club, J.Storm and Keen, who around the 12 ranks are officially out of the race. Since all of these three teams failed to qualify for the Major and the Minor.
This means that both of these stand a decent chance to fly to Shanghai. They will to give their all in the upcoming competition to silence their critics and prove to the world that they deserve to be amongst the best team in the world.
