ESTNN previews the NA East FNCS C3:S1 Semi-Finals.
The Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) kicks into high gear over the next three days. Qualified competitors worldwide must endure the Semi-Finals—a grueling three-day marathon where only the top teams will reach the Grand Finals. Considering the depth of talent competing this weekend, it won’t be easy. Regardless, it provides participants the only chance at competing for the $3M USD prize pool.
Yesterday, we covered the European region; undoubtedly one of the world’s best. That brings us to today, where we preview Fortnite’s North America East region. NA East features some of the game’s most recognizable names; Bugha, Clix, Cented, Deyy, Mero and many others. Some competitors have already secured a spot in the Finals. For the remaining 72 teams, the Semi-Finals are their last chance.
Today, ESTNN provides you with a comprehensive breakdown of what you can expect over the next three days. Thanks to famed Fortnite statistical guru — Kinch Analytics — we have a list of teams that will compete in each session. Be sure to keep reading as we give our picks for the weekend ahead.

ESTNN’s Picks to Advance
Cold & Cented
south grotto for heats
— FaZe Cented (@Cented7) February 21, 2022
33 Cold and FaZe Cented have been among the best Duos of any region this season. It was shocking to see them fall outside the top eight in Qualifiers One and Two. The talented Duo finished just five points short of qualifying for what it’s worth. The Semi-Finals should be a relatively short day at the office for this Duo.
They’ll have 16 matches to qualify through one of two ways. Odds like that are impossible to pass up; Cold and Cented will secure their spot in the Chapter 3 Season 1 Final eventually this weekend.
Deyy & Clix
south grotto for heats
— FaZe Cented (@Cented7) February 21, 2022
The newly signed NRG Duo of Clix and Deyy is one of the longest-running in any region. Their partnership dates back more than a year, and the two have shown an impressive ability to compile eliminations effortlessly. Clix and Deyy aren’t one-trick ponies either—they can navigate an end game with the region’s best Duos.
It’s challenging to imagine a world where Clix and Deyy don’t find success in the Semi-Finals. We’ve seen them win games, and it only takes one over the next three days. Expect to see the NRG Duo snag a spot in the Grand Finals either by consistency or claiming a Victory Royale.
Ajerss & Rise

— G2 Ajerss (@Ajerss) February 21, 2022
G2 Ajerss and Rise were one of the region’s top teams out of the gate. The talented pair won a Duos Cash Cup and performed well in other tournaments. Many competitive Fortnite fans thought these two would bypass the Semi-Finals entirely based on their accolades.
Unfortunately, Ajerss and Rise finished 54th and 19th during the Qualifiers. While their struggles were challenging to overcome, there’s no doubt these two players won’t be prepared for the task ahead. Like the last two teams, Ajerss and Rise have 16 matches to make it happen. We believe they’ll qualify for the Finals.
PaMstou & Fatch
4th series points, french split in heats 🙁 pic.twitter.com/VtTw03zDKm
— 33 Fatch (@FatchFN) February 21, 2022
The Canadian Duo of PaMstou and 33 Fatch never receive the respect they deserve. Both players have popped up here and there on leaderboards dating back to Chapter 2 Season 7. Their presence in session one is favorable, considering their ability to win matches.
All in all, PaMstou and Fatch should have no issues claiming at least one win in 16 matches. It would take a colossal mishap for the Canadian Duo to somehow not reach the Grand Finals. However, we are believers.
Megga & Dubs

— FaZe Megga (@Megga) February 19, 2022
FaZe Clan players Megga and Dubs are veterans that have stood the test of time. We mentioned Clix and Deyy’s long-running partnership earlier. Now meet unquestionably the Duo that has played more Fortnite together than arguably any other. If there’s one thing we’ve learned since watching Megga and Dubs play, it’s that you can never count them out.
The FaZe Clan Duo secured second in the last two-person FNCS competition. While that occurred more than two years ago, not much has changed for Megga and Dubs. This Duo will win one of the 16 Semi-Final matches and compete for yet another Axe of Champions.
The NA East FNCS Semi-Finals begin today at 5 PM with the first of three sessions. Be sure to tune into the action as many of Fortnite’s top Duos compete for a spot in the Chapter 3 Season 1 Final. Check out our viewership guide for more information.
