The MSI 2022 Rumble Stage is here, and we’re set up for some exciting games on the first day.
With so many unbeaten records going into MSI 2022 Rumble Stage, we knew at least one had to be broken. Could T1 be stopped, would RNG dominate or could G2 upset the odds.
MSI – T1 v G2
First blood is secured by T1, as G2 feel the burn from T1. No more kills in the first 11-minutes, however, T1 forged ahead with a 3k lead with map pressure. T1 secured their second kill in the top side, as the 3v2 goes the way of T1. By the 20-minutes mark, T1 continued to deny G2 anything on the Rift. Moving to 5k ahead, T1 had squeezed G2. There’s a 5v5 in the top lane, and while it goes to G2 to begin with, Oner is able to clutch up to win the fight for T1. This time it’s G2 that find a big fight, and with a pick onto Keria, G2 were able to win a huge 5v5 team fight win. Another huge team fight at Baron, and once again it’s G2 that came away with the win. Knocking down three members of T1 and G2 move into a gold lead with Baron secured. With Baron, G2 secured the bottom side inhibitor as G2’s lead was maintained.
At the 33-minute mark, with Baron back up once again, G2 look towards Baron. G2 secure Baron as T1 desperately tried to win the game. Three members of T1 drop as G2 secure the Baron and another team fight win. G2 force the play on the T1 Nexus, knocking down a turret and two inhibitors as they backed away once again. G2 siege the T1 mid-lane, as G2 win the fight and win the game. The win means G2 remain unbeaten at T1, while T1’s unbeaten record is ended.

MSI – EG v RNG
First blood is secured by RNG, however, EG was able to quickly retaliate. Another top-lane fight went the way of RNG, as the secured 2 kills and also two towers in the bot side. Putting RNG 4k ahead. By the 19-minute mark, RNG moved to 5k ahead, winning more team fights, though often unable to make any major plays on the map. EG made a huge play to secure Baron with RNG not quick enough to react. EG secured it, though they lost two members as a result. EG looked to have secured a huge play in the mid-lane, but somehow RNG was able to win the fight and secure the Mountain Soul. A team fight ace for RNG after claiming the Baron could be the game ending play, as they push into the EG base. Elder is the next objective, as EG looked to force it with RNG a member down. Sadly for EG, they couldn’t make it work as RNG secured the victory.

MSI – PSG v SGB
First blood secured by PSG, as they look to start the Rumble stage with a win. PSG continued to pick up wins on the map, with SGB offering up little resistance. A double kill in the bot-side for PSG as they dominated the early game. With Baron spawning on the map, PSG had secured a 9k lead as SGB look to secure Baron. PSG secured an ace, and a Baron as PSG look to end. PSG extended their lead slightly under Baron, though they were unable to breach the SGB base. A 5v5 in the mid-lane, as SGB finally found a team fight victory. Moments later, it’s SGB again that secure a team fight win, this time it’s an ace as they moved to Baron. Huge shutdown bounties saw SGB close the gold gap to just 4k. Despite that big play, PSG was able to secure a big fight and snowball that into a win. Despite the dominant start, PSG made it look a lot harder than needed.

MSI – G2 v RNG
RNG secured the first blood as the battle of the unbeaten sides gets started. Another big fight on the bit lane for RNG as they secured tow more kills, before caPs arrived to save the day for G2. G2 start to turn the cogs, as they won yet another team fight. Though it was at a cost of most of their summoner spells. With Baron spawning on the map, G2 had a slight 2k lead, though RNG was first to secure Baron pressure. G2 was able to secure a Baron with RNG unable to take it, despite a 50/50 attempt by Wei. Another huge fight win for G2, despite RNG getting the first kill of the fight. A huge Baron play once again for G2, despite RNG forcing the play it’s G2 again winning the fights. Another close fight as Drake spawns but it’s G2 once again who claim the fight victory and the ace. The victory means G2 is 22-0 and the only team left unbeaten at MSI.

MSI – SGB v EG
A huge first blood for EG, despite it being traded back, EG also picked up a second kill. EG continued to snowball, winning a big fight around the Rift Herald as they moved to 2k ahead. One of the bloodiest games of the day, by the 15-minute mark EG remained in the lead, though it had been reduced to just 1k. Another team fight as Baron spawns, it looked like a disaster for EG but they came out on top in the end. Securing their gold lead as they look to secure a win. EG begin to dominate the map, securing Baron as they look to find a way to end the game. They make one last push, and EG secure the victory. A big day one victory, EG, after a Game 1 loss on Day 1 for EG.
