Ever since the conclusion of the PGL Arlington Major 2022 on August 14, 2022, the Dota 2 community has been eagerly looking forward to a new patch to bring balance to the existing state of the game.
Through a recent Dota 2 patch that was shipped to the game on August 24th, Valve has introduced a plethora of interesting changes to the game that will undoubtedly bring massive changes to the current meta of the MOBA.
Dota Patch Notes 7.32
Let’s take a look at some of the biggest changes that Dota 2 patch 7.32 has brought to the title.
Dota 2 Patch 7.32: Major Changes
There are too many changes in patch 7.32 to be listed in this article, but we’re gonna take a look at some of the major changes that can heavily impact your gameplay.
- Centaur’s “Hitch a Ride”
This new scepter ability of Centaur Warruner is perhaps the most interesting change that patch 7.32 has introduced. This ability will enable Centaur to temporarily carry his allies on a cart attached behind him, and it can lead to some crazy plays.
- Neutral Items Added/Removed
A number of new neutral items of various tiers have been added to Dota 2 via patch 7.32. At the same time, some of the old ones have been removed to retain the complexity of the game.
New/Returning Neutral Items: Seeds of Serenity, Lance of Pursuit, Occult Bracelet, Eye of the Vizier, Specialist’s Array, Dagger of Ristul, Ogre Seal Totem, Havoc Hammer.
Removed Neutral Items: Chipped Vest, Keen Optic, Ocean Heart, Essence Ring, Fae Grenade, Quicksilver Amulet, Spider Legs, The Leveller.

The Black King Bar now has a manacost of 50 mana per cast, which means that BKB users will now be even more vulnerable to mana drains. Heroes like Phantom Lancer or Anti-Mage, who are not very good BKB carriers, should have a much easier time taking down foes with BKB if they can drain down their mana pool fast enough.
- Nerfs to Meta Heroes: Heroes that dominated the PGL Arlington major including Marci, Puck, Tiny, Winter Wyvern, and many others received massive nerfs while some of the weaker heroes got buffed in Dota 2 patch 7.32. Marci is perhaps one of the biggest losers of 7.32, as her Dispose can no longer stun, and her Unleash Pulses no longer slow enemies.
Curious to see how the professional players are adapting to these changes? Luckily, the ESL One Malaysia 2022 is currently underway, and it is being played on the updated patch. Interested fans can check out the ESL One Malaysia stream on the official ESL Twitch handle here.
