NFL fans know that the rating of a player on Madden is not as silly as it should be. A number in a video game can tell much more than just how good a player is. Receiving the highest rating on the game, the 99 ratings, is an honor for the players. And after a long week, revealing one by one, EA, the developer of the game, revealed the entire Madden 24 ‘99 Club’.
Five players earned their spots in the Club this season. Two of them are current Super Bowl Champions. Check out now the list of the players on the ’99 Club’ for the Madden 24 game.
1. Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs
The quarterback led the Chiefs to another Super Bowl title. That should already be enough. But his stats last season also include 435 passes completed in 648 attempts (67.1%), 5,250 yards (career-high), 41 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
2. Travis Kelce, TE, Chiefs
Another one that earned his spot only by winning it all is Mahomes preferred target and maybe the best tight end in the league. In 2022, Kelce had 110 catches (career-high) in 152 targets, 1,338 yards and 12 touchdowns (career-high).
3. Justin Jefferson, WR, Vikings
Here we have a player that earned this rating because of his absurd plays throughout the season. Jefferson didn’t get to the Super Bowl with the Vikings but had a great season, with 128 catches and 1,809 yards (both career-high). He also had eight TDs.
4. Aaron Donald, DE, Rams
The Rams didn’t have a great season. But Aaron Donald did. It was not his best year either, but still a great one. He missed six games, and it is not really clear why he made it to the 99 Club this season. In 11 games he recorded 49 tackles (27 solo + 22 assisted) and five sacks.
5. Zach Martin, OL, Cowboys
It is hard to put an offensive linemen’s season in numbers. The NFL doesn’t keep track of OLs’ stats. So in his case, we will only have to see the great blocks and his importance to the Cowboys’ offense to understand why he is here.
