The first season of CSGO’s FlashPoint has been won by MAD Lions. The powerful victory over MiBR is the first win for the Danish side since the V4 Future Sports Festival.
MiBR were the favourites, but in the best three series, MAD Lions managed to make a historic comeback. The match started with Mirage, the MAD Lions pick. Half of them saw MiBR starting with a challenging job on the counter-terrorist side.
Half was pretty uncomfortable because only once did MAD Lions plant the bomb, which was discussed. A tight eight-seven half led by MiBR became the nightmare of the Danish side turn rosters. The duo of Alvarenga “tar” and Toledo, Fernando “FalleN,” moved MiBR forward to win at-side map of Mirage for their opponent.
Hell saw Mirage mirrored. Unlike Mirage, MAD Lions started on the ct but lost half of 8–7 due to Brazilian side’s highly efficient bomb entrances and defence. MiBR’s performance on the ct-side dissipated after four rounds of string. This period, Andersen was reprimanding the Danish pair of Frederik ‘acoR’ Gyldstrand and Lucas’ Bubzkji. Crazy Lions spread out five laps in a row to build momentum before ending 16 to 13.
The final Flashpoint 1 map in the Best of Three was Train. The first half of the match saw a remarkable 12-3 on the CT’s side despite the Brazilians’ excellent attacks and overall defence. Just when the Danish felt boring, MAD Lions caught up with one of the most outstanding reviews in history. MiBR crumbled on their t-side while the Danes displayed an immaculate train hand. A fantastic move forward by Asger “AcilioN” Larsen and “Sjuush” Rasmus Beck rejected Brazilians’ easy victory, which allowed just one point for the Brazilian side. MiBR again lost the 16-13 decision-maker.”
MAD Lions lifted a special Red Chrome AK-47 trophy (figuratively speaking, from home) with a $500,000 bonus after MiBR upset in the 2-1 finale.
