Before the 4th of July break, the developers don’t want to leave the players hanging. As both Patch 12.12B and 12.13 were shown off.
League of Legends will receive two updates on short notice, as the small summer break of the dev team approaches.
Matt “RiotPhroxzon” Leung-Harisson, the game’s Lead Game Balance and Preseason Designer, has announced that there will be a micro patch hitting the Rift on June 30th called 12.12b. After 12.13 will be added to the game on July 12, bringing more changes to the game.
The 12.12b patch mainly brings nerfs to champions such as Bel’Veth, Senna, Tahm Kench, Zeri, Wukong Seraphine and Yuumi. Alongside a few buffs to Shaco and Katarina, who were hit too hard in 12.11, and also to Caitlyn and Leona, who have fallen out of the meta after the 12.10 update. While we don’t have a lot of information, we know about the Katarina changes: her passive AP Ratio and Q damage are increased, as well as her R on-hit modifier and Physical Damage. This should help the Champion, as she has been nerfed too hard after 12.11.
In 12.13, Riot Games will be buffing forgotten Champions. These include Renekton, Elise, Evelynn, Fiddlesticks, Kled, Karthus, Taliyah, Galio, Vex and Olaf Jungle. This patch should bring the Master Yi mini-rework about as well. However, Riot will be nerfing Corki and Volibear, who have become prominent in proplay yet again. July 12 marks the compensational buffs of the Lethatly Mythics, while also shifting Divine Sunderer’s healing and damage.
The only thing we have info about is the Master Yi changes: his Q will now have a reposition indicator, and players will be able to decide where to exit from his Alpha Strike. His W will receive significant buffs, but on the PBE, the Tenacity changes have been switched out for a 90% damage reduction in the first .5 seconds of Meditate. He will also get a huge reduction in his W’s cooldown, which should help the Wuju Master during dives.
This patch also marks Gwen’s mini-rework. Riot will change everything about the Hallowed Seamstress, who should be better in the lane but not as dangerous to tanks as before – you can read about the changes and their effects here.
Stay tuned for the full changes in the coming weeks!
