LoL Championship Series announces parntership with Verizon

A long term partnership with telecommunications company Verizon has been established with the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS).

Beginning with Summer Split 2020, Verizon will be delivering its 5G Ultra Wideband network to the LCS in an arrangement which will span over three years, as its official 5G network provider. The pair will also discuss how “player and fan interactions around the League” can be improved.

Verizon is the first-ever presenter of Academy Rush, a new show highlighted by Academy matches with shoutcasters and analysts. The publication has tricked up future collaborations “As matches go back to the arena” telecommunication provider and LCS Studios.

Verizon joined the North American organization Dignitas in January to form a strategic partnership. The result is the establishment of a 5,500 square foot facilities in LA using the 5G network of the firm. The facilities will be used both for the Dignitas LCS team as a headquarters and training center.

The LCS-Verizon partnership will begin on June 12 with Academy Rush ‘s Summer Premiere.

Earlier this week, Riot Games carried Samsung as LCS partner for Sommer Split to South Korea’s multinational conglomerate.
