Recently major announcements unfolded in the gaming world, with Google revealing the details about Stadia, Microsoft Store adding Metro Exodus and latest trailer of DOOM was released
Stadia details revealed
On June 6, a press conference was held by Google, where company representatives spoke about the cloud service for games – Stadia. In addition to the details of the platform, the broadcast showed a teaser of Baldur’s Gate III from the Larian studio.
Google Stadia will allow you to run hardware-demanding games in the Chrome browser. The service will begin in November 2019. It can be run on “smart TVs” (via Chromecast), computers, laptops and smartphones of the Pixel line (third generation and above). Stadia will support 4K image quality: this will require 35 Mbit / s Internet. Minimum requirements for the service – 10 Mbit / s.
Subscription price is $ 10. For $ 129, developers offer a gamepad with a unique color, Chromecast Ultra with 4K support, a complete set of Destiny 2 and three months of Pro-subscription for themselves and a friend. The service will be able to buy the game separately – for this you will not need a subscription.
Exit Baldur’s Gate III will be launched on the PC. The action of the saga will unfold 100 years after the original. In addition to Stadia, the game will be available for purchase on Steam and GOG. According to the developers, this will be the most ambitious and expensive project of the studio. In addition to Baldur’s Gate III, 28 more games will be available in Google Stadia at the time of release. Among them – Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, Mortal Kombat 11 and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Metro: Exodus added to Microsoft Store
The Microsoft Store added a Metro: Exodus page, which was previously exclusive to the Epic Games Store. According to the information on the site, the release in the Windows store will be held on June 9 – the day of the Microsoft press conference at E3.
Metro: Exodus should have been released on Steam, but a few days before Epic Games Store bought exclusive rights for it. The shooter was removed from sale in the Valve store, and users criticized the aggressive marketing policy of EGS. After that, the developers of Fortnite reported that they would refuse exclusive games if Steam reduced the commission for publishing third-party products in the service.
Earlier, Epic Games Store received exclusive rights to Borderlands 3, which will be available in September. On Steam, it will come out half a year late – only in March 2020. In May, EGS set a discount on pre-order shooter, after which the developers demanded to remove the game from the sale.
Doom Teaser revealed
A teaser for DOOM Eternal appeared on the network. The video showed the location of the shooter and reminded that Bethesda will tell about the details of the game at E3.
