kRYSTAL Is Now a Coach

by Zlosterr

CSGO has many top-tier players that have been around for a long time, and Kevin “kRYSTAL” Amed is one of them.

The german superstar has been a part of many top-tier teams over the years. However, after competing for more than 10 years, he decided it was time to step away from competitive play and focus on coaching.

kRYSTAL’s career

There is no arguing that kRYSTAL is one of the best CSGO players in the world. Over the years, the 29-year-old player took part in three Majors with PENTA. That said, he was also a part of all sorts of other teams, such as ALTERNATE aTTAX and cowana. However, it seems like he decided it was time to step down and focus on coaching.

Many of you probably know that kRYSTAL started his career in ALTERNATE aTTaX because the German powerhouse was one fo the best at the time. What’s also interesting is that the player was a part of the organization’ CS:Source team before the arrival of CSGO.

After spending some time there, he moved to PENTA. The German squad didn’t look that scary on paper, but after a few events, people quickly realized they were among the best. Slowly but steadily, PENTA attended 3 Majors, which allowed everyone, including kRYSTAL, to stand out.

Following his time with PENTA, the player was also a part Sprout, Imperial, and NoChance, The latter became a part of GODSENT, but the team was never able to take down the best in the world. Hence, kRYSTAL eventually moved to cowana, which turned out to be his last team.

Reasons for his decision

As you can imagine, deciding to stop playing competitively is not easy, especially regarding CSGO. However, according to kRYSTAL, one of the things that “forced” him was the criticism. Even though some people think he is one of the best the game has ever had, others always criticized him over the years for various things. Needless to say, this affected his playstyle and results, so he decided it was time to try something else.

It will be interesting to see whether kRYSTAL will be a successful CSGO coach because this isn’t as easy as it seems. Many of the old-school CS 1.6 players, such as RobbaN, have been doing this for years, so kRYSTAL will have to step up its game. That said, the German player has what it takes, so we think it is just a matter of time before he makes a name for himself as one of the best CSGO coaches.
