It been over sixty days, since mousesports made incredible changes to its roster. The team recruited, the talented David “frozen” Čerňanský, One of the best Turkish players, Özgür “woxic” Eker and in-game leader Finn “karrigan” Andersen.
The star trio formed an incredible synergy with Chris “chrisJ” de Jong and Robin “ropz” Kool. Things kicked off well for this new roster, since they won the DreamHack Open Tours. It might not be the biggest competition, since the beat the likes of Valiance, AVANGAR and Windigo. Yet they did so convincingly which shows that, the team is capable of competing against top teams.
Dominating performance in Dreamhack
Some of the games of the tournament were in incredibly one sides. They beat Windigo on Nuke 16-6 after that they decimated AVANGAR 16-7 on NUke and Overpass. The finale against Valiance was not a big problem for the team, since the trio, woxic, frozen and Ropz accumulated a grand total of 136 in two game. This incredible performance surely earned them the privilege to lift the tite.
Before their triumph in the Dreamhack, the team performed well in the qualifiers of ESL Pro League season nine. Unlike, Na’Vi and MIBR, the team secured a spot in the finals with a first place finish in the first round. Woxic and Ropz were among the best players of the qualifying phases, since they got 1.28 and 1.30 ratings respectively.

Yet in the first Major competition, IEM Sydney the team exhibited an average results. In the best of three series, they won against Renegades, BIG and BOOT-d[S]. Yet they lost to one of the top five teams in the world, MIBR.
Success for karrigan?
Despite these series of roller coaster performances, we believe that karrigan is doing a great job. He is making sure that the players are happy in their roles and also letting woxic and ropz take the spotlight. This might be the best display of karrigan’s leadership in the competitive landscape of CS: GO. In his two year period at FaZe, TSM and competing in Astralis from 2015-16, he had a fixed gameplan. It was something like free for all where every player was allowed to choose his role and this strategy worked for a while. But as the time went by FaZe and Astralis lost faith in him.
The Danes recruited Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander, who seems to be performing well since Astralis has been the No.1 team in the world for over a year now. Meanwhile FaZe is still struggling to find a new leader since after karigan, they struggled with Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, now they have recruited Filip “NEO” Kubski.
In 2018 mousesports’ old roster failed to performs, the only won, ESL One New York and StarSeries i-League season four. We don’t know for sure that what this new roster is capable of, yet believe that they have the potential to beat the best, They will have to prove their worth in June at the finals of ESL Pro League season.
