Not much has happened in the past weeks in the world of PUBG. Yet in the last 24 hours, some exciting news has popped up and it is our responsibility to deliver it to you.
Nepal Lifts PUBG BAN
The Supreme Court of Nepal lifted the ban on PUBG in the country. On April 11, the country’s national telecommunications regulator banned the “royal battle”, saying that it “has a negative effect on children.”
The reason for litigation was the petition of a group of Nepalese lawyers, which they sent to the Prime Minister of the country. Lawyers said that the freedom to play PUBG is protected by the state constitution. Like the court, they considered that the local authorities did not substantiate the blocking of the game. Meanwhile, Fortnite is still banned since the Iraqi government believes it promotes violence. On 22 April, The Iraqi parliament voted in favor of a resolution that banned “brutal games” in the country. The battle royales PUBG and Fortnite were banned. While it was rumored that CS: GO might even get banned in the country.
The ban on PUBG still operates in educational institutions of the Indian state of Gujarat. In March, local police arrested 10 students for playing PUBG on phones. They were released on the same day.
