After weeks of anticipation, Gen.G Esports has announced the signature of Hansel “BnTeT” Ferdinand from TYLOO in the lead of the 2020 Season.
Rumors emerged earlier this month about Gen. G and their goal of purchasing TYLOO BnTeT, while nothing came of them then and Gen. G announced that their list would be done by constantly adding BnTeT to their team.
For the first time in his career, he has played during Team NXL, Jakarta Joggernauts, Fortius Gaming, Recca Esports, and recently TYLOO, the professional CS: GO player from Indonesia. This step will be a great success.
In March 2017, BnTeT joined TYLOO and has been with the squad since then. BnTeT averaged a 1.16 rating on the LAN during his tenure with the Chinese giant, which cemented him to be the strongest Asian Counter Strike player and an extremely valuable member of TYLOO as an in-the-game boss.
BnTet has won countless LAN event titles with TYLOO and even had very good runs at a few S-Tier tournaments. The third place at the CS:GO Asia Championships 2019 and IEM Sydney 2018 are two of the most notable achievements for TYLOO.
The Chinese company, given its successful history with TYLOO, has spent a year wondering how it ended up with one of the major events it took part in. Nonetheless, the biggest shock was the inability of them to make progress from the New Challengers Stage.
TYLOO beat Vitality and Cloud9 in IEM Katowice Major 2019. However, it fell to NRG (0-2), AVANGAR (0-2) and G2 (1-2) to a lot below the ground, while TYLOO lost the G2, NRG and Complexity to the end of a 0-3 record, together with INTZ ESports.
At Gen. G, BnTet will steal the position previously held by Hunter “SicK” Mims, who was an IEM Katowic 2020 North America open qualifier temporary stand-in for Gen. G. Before however, BnTeT still has to represent TYLOO at IEM Katowice Asia closed qualification stages through January 7-9, before it turns its lifelong dream of playing in North America into fact.
BnTeT will therefore aim to restart his career abroad by creating the new Gen. G roster, which has a lot of promises, with Timothy “autimatic” Ta, ELEAGUE Majors 2018 winner, Sam, a 17-year-old talent, Oh, Kenneth, formerCloud9 member, “koosta” Suen and Steele, who has been competing with IGL Damian “daps” for over seven years, in the CS: GO professional scenes.
