G2 Esports and MMD announce new partnership

by Ian Zane

MMD has announced that it will sponsor G2 Esports, one of the most prominent and popular eSport organisations currently. G2 Esports was founded in 2013 by Carlos “ocelote” Rodriguez and has since become one of the world’s leading teams with over 94 game title awards.

Phillips monitors and G2 Esports have combined to win the console game market to kick off the new decade. The Racing and Rocket League teams will be focussing on their sponsorship contract which will begin in January 2020.

The Marketing Director of MMD, Stefan Sommer, said,”We are proud to join forces with G2 to make gaming consoles more fun and help the e-sports world more competitive than ever. In particular, the G2 Rocket League team has worked hard to find their location and we are very excited to see how far they are with our help in 2020. With the console-optimized displays, we can really boost their preparation, in particular, the Rocket League squad, by equipping the whole G2 team training instals. This also gives us an opportunity to learn what professional players want from a controller and to include these findings in potential console gaming goods.”

During 2019, both DreamHack Quebec and the Rocket League Championships (RLCS Season 7) took the G2 Rocket League group to the finals. This represents the strength of G2 Esports players in the sports games, not only in the FPS and MOBA divisions.

“We want a smooth and remarkable experience in gaming, whether we compete online or play the titles of a single player,” explained Carlos Rodriguez, CEO of G2 Esports. “Don’t let them lie to you–pro players want their games to be running smoothly and to look beautiful. Monitors from Philips are revolutionary, and so we are.
