Losing to Samsung was supposed to be Faker’s lowest moment. The greatest player in the world in tears. The dynasty he’d spent years building shattered because he just wasn’t good enough.
After that crushing loss, 2018 was supposed to be Faker and SKT’s comeback year. They were looking for a redemption arc, to win back the title of League of Legends’ greatest team.
Instead, it turned out to be their worst year yet.
But the team’s 2018 woes seemed like a faded memory after SKT won two consecutive LCK titles, Rift Rivals, and took a top-four finish at Worlds.
So how did SKT do it? How did a team that hit rock bottom in 2018, come back and make top four at Worlds the following year?

I like how he names off the "dumster fire" roster that has 3 multi worlds champions and 4 of them were on the team the year before when they got 2nd. If you want to point to Thal or Blossom, sure…. but Bang, Blank, and Wolf have been staples to that team for multiple worlds runs some of which ending in Championships.
No matter what happen, I will be always solid fan of SKT. With or without Faker

About Spring 2019, instead of just showing SKT winning 3-0 vs Griffin in finals, you could have mentioned that :
– When Spring season started, SKT and GRF were the 2 strongest teams
– When they first met during the split, GRF crushed SKT 2-0 with a very quick victory
– When they met again, GRF won 2-1 but it was insanely close (base race for victory)
– And at last, when they met in finals, SKT won 3-0.
Also, SKT did reclaim their Korean kingdom (winning both Spring and Summer), but they did not reclaim their "empire" since they lost vs G2 in both MSI semi-finals and Worlds semi-finals.
Yeah, about that, I don't know what upsets me the most :
– Faker THROWING Worlds 2019 semi-finals so HARD
– or the most embarrassing worlds finals ever that happened because Faker THREW semi-finals SO F*CKING HARD
they want to become champions again?, slap their coach and let him pick his champions back then. zed ,yasuo, syndra, ryze, fizz, azir, TF, fuck he even used olaf mid back then.. I really think his champions and gameplay is not for team fight. his role should be an assassin.
and back then, the original skt players have specialties, specially impact who does a very good job at split pushing which gives faker and the whole team a breathing room when the enemies respond to impact..

"and now he has to work just as hard as everyone else" Wtf…. Faker and Koreans in general work THE most compared to every other region. That's why they've been so successful and been at the top for so long. Faker didn't remain at the top because he was a prodigy, but because he worked extremely hard and even harder than his competition. It's only recently that he slumped which is to be expected… better yet Faker's slump/fall has been late overdue the dude held it at the top for more than anyone else can not due to his talent but his hard work and dedication. PLease don't take away from the hard work faker has put in, he makes it look easy but it's not.
Faker is and will always be the greatest player of all time in the league scene he achieved heights no one ever reached before.

I still remember that day of the finals. When I realized that they lost, I lost it. I cried pretty much every night for the week. It was devastating to see Faker cry. Heartbreaking.
