FOX Sports expanded its coverage of sim racing by adding the Formula E Race to its broadcast schedule for the Home Season.

The 9-week series includes a number of SIM racers and teams and drivers of the ABB FIA F1 Championship.

On 25 April on a simultaneous rFactor 2, which comprises the current Formula E-car generation along with various virtual iterations of tracks from the Formula E calendar, the Formula E Race at the Home Challenge begins.

Also part of its expanding coverage of virtual motorsports resulting from COVID-19, the show is the third SMI racing series televised on FOX Sports that will follow the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series and the World of Outlaws.

By setting a qualifying time before the race weekend, the riders will qualify for the Championship. The top 18 drivers are eligible to compete with the Formula E series, with the winner advancing against the real drivers to the starting grid.

By comparison to other sim racing championships, the Home Challenge competition is a “competition royale” that will replace the last driver at the end of each lap. Removals will start until ten drivers remain and will compete to determine the points.

The competition will send all donations to UNICEF to help protect children around the world in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
