Fortnite’s latest anime collab has leaked. This is what we know about the upcoming Fortnite Jujutsu Kaisen crossover and the new skins.
Fortnite has tons of crossovers with different franchises. Most recently we’ve gotten Fortnite X Futurama, bringing a few new skins and items into the game. In the past though, Epic has collaborated heavily with anime franchises. These have been some of the biggest collabs in-game, but we haven’t had a new one in a little while. We’ve just got some leaks that are fixing that though, it looks like we’re getting a Fortnite Jujutsu Kaisen collab.
This new anime crossover will be yet another franchise represented in Fortnite. So far, we’ve had Naruto, Dragon Ball, My Hero Academia, and Attack on Titan. Each of these are Shonen Jump franchises which is part of Epic’s wider deal with Shueisha. Fortnite X Fortnite Jujutsu Kaisen would be yet another Jump series getting representation of the world of the Battle Royale.
So far, the info on Fortnite Jujutsu Kaisen is largely unconfirmed. However, they are coming from a prominent leaker. They have a pretty solid track record. It seems we’ve gotten some early looks at the skins that are coming. This is what we know about the Fortntie Fortnite Jujutsu Kaisen crossover that’s been leaked.
Fortnite Jujutsu Kaisen Crossover
The leaks over this weekend have pointed to one new franchise being the next to join the game, Fortnite X Jujutsu Kaisen. A prominent Fortnite leaker, BarbieharpFN has provided some insider information on what the next crossover could be. The leaker has provided three different images of upcoming content in Fortnite.
If you’re a fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, it’s probably not the biggest surprise which characters Epic has chosen. However, according to the leaks these are the three skins we’ll see as part of the crossover when the Fortnite Jujutsu Kaisen release date comes.
Satoru Goji Bundle
The first of the leaked sets is for Satoru Gojo. This set will include the skin itself plus a selectable style for a different look. Then there’s Sweet Selection, a backbling to go with the skin. This will cost 1,900 V-Bucks in total.
Megumi Fushiguro Bundle
The next of the skin bundles that we’ve spotted is Megumi Fushiguro. This one is the main Megumi Fushiguro outfit plus a back bling called Kon. Then there’s a harvesting tool called Jet-Black Sword along with two different emotes. This is expected to cost 1,900 V-Bucks when it comes to the game.
Nobara Kugisaki Bundle
The last of the bundles that have been leaked so far is Nobara Kugisaki. This one has a single skin with a back bling called Signature Straw Doll, along with a Hammer harvesting tool. This one is expected to be a drop cheaper at 1,800 V-Bucks. Although, it does have the least content out of all of the Fortnite Jujutsu Kaisen bundles so far.
This crossover from the leaks looks pretty full. We’re not only getting three skins but cosmetics to go with them too! While a similar size to some collabs, Fortnite often does more for its anime crossovers. For Dragon Ball x Fortnite and My Hero Academia they included in-game content, so are we getting any of that with this collab?
In-Game Content for Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen
The Fortnite leaks so far for this crossover haven’t shown off any in-game items. However, getting leaks of three full skins and other cosmetics is already pretty big. It’s unlikely we’d learn about items at the same time. If we look at the track record of anime collabs, it seems likely that Epic will be throwing something in.
The very first anime collab was Naruto. Fortnite X Naruto was multiple waves of skins, which got more elaborate with each wave. This was the opening crossover after Epic signed a multi-year deal with Shueisha to use their characters in Fortnite. The next was Dragon Ball.
This was an initial batch of five skins, along with an entire event. There were free cosmetics, in-game quests, recreations of areas from the anime in Fortnite, even a dedicated creative map that just had Dragon Ball Super episodes showing on a loop for weeks. This was a big collab. Since then, we’ve gotten more. There was a second wave of Dragon Ball Fortnite skins which have each seen the items return to the game.
After this, we to My Hero Academia. This collab came with an in-game mythic which stuck around way too long. Pretty much the entire season had it in the loot pool along with special supply drops all over the map.
Our most recent anime collab came in Chapter 4 Season 2 with Attack on Titan. This collab also went beyond just skins. An anime skin was included in the Battle Pass. Items from Attack on Titan were all over the map, as were decorations and even a POI!
Basically, so far, the anime collaborations have been bigger and better every time. If Fortnite X Jujutsu Kaisen is going to live up to past collabs, it’ll likely have in-game items too. We don’t know what these will be just yet. However, there is good reason to expect something more than skins to arrive.
How Reliable are the Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen Leaks?
The Fortnite Jujutsu Kaisen crossover is exciting but the big question is how reliable the leaks are. There are a couple of reasons these leaks go beyond the normal ones. We can likely expect this crossover to deliver exactly what’s been leaked or close. Plus, we can expect the Fortnite Jujutsu Kaisen release date to be sooner rather than later.
The first factor in its favor is the actual leaker. They’re a good source who has a track record in being accurate with these leaks. They leaked the Futurama crossover ahead of time. More recently, they’ve revealed very accurate information about the upcoming Terminator skins. Their track record would suggest this is more accurate than your average poster.
The second factor to think about is the level of the leak. We’ve seen an entire item store splash page. Most leaks don’t tend to go this far. If the skins are accessible in this style in the game, they likely already exist in the game. These skins look perfect for how Epic would depict these characters to fit the world that the game has built up since Fortnite was created.
There are plenty of reasons to think these leaks are legitimate, but when are they coming?
When is the Fortnite Jujutsu Kaisen Release Date?
With any leaks like this, it’s difficult to predict when they’ll actually hit the game. What do we know about the Fortnite Jujutsu Kaisen release date? At the moment it’s mainly guesswork but we’ve got some clues.
Fortnite is in the middle of a crossover right now with Futurama content. That’s scheduled to stay until at least two weeks after release. We’ve also got Terminator which is cluttering the item shop soon too! This might mean we can’t expect this collab to come for a few more weeks at least.
This would then move the Fortnite X Jujutsu Kaisen release date to either the last section of this season, or early next. Either of these two release windows is pretty plausible here. We’ve not got any leaks for the Chapter 4 Season 4 theme or Battle Pass yet, so they could be a part of that season from the opening. With Season 4 coinciding with the Fortnite Chapter 4 end date, the latter half of that season will likely be quieter from a collab perspective. That’s roughly when we can expect the Fortnite Jujutsu Kaisen release date.
That’s what we know about Fortnite X Jujutsu Kaisen so far. This new collab looks like one of the more exciting ones in this Chapter and it’s always great to see another anime franchise pop-up game. We’ll have to hold on and see when the skins actually make it to release though!
