This is everything we know about the next Chapter, all of the Fortnite Chapter 4 leaks about what’s coming next in the game.
We’re just a little bit away from the launch of the next major milestone for Epic Games’ Battle Royale, Fortnite Chapter 4. Just days before it launches, there are loads of Fortnite Chapter 4 leaks to pour over.
As usual, these vary a bit in both quality and, frankly credibility. Not every leak can be taken completely at face value. However, there are some pretty substantial leaks so far. There are major gameplay and content changes that have been pretty public knowledge for quite a few. A good number of the leaks about Chapter 4 have been confirmed by more reputable sources on Fortnite’s future.
Between a new map, new game modes, new creative, and possibly new types of skins, there are loads planned for the next Chapter of Fortnite. We’ve compiled everything we know so far. From the game modes that are basically confirmed to the more speculative leaks!
Fortnite Chapter 4 Leaks
Map Leaks
The map is always the most exciting part of a new Fortnite season. What do we know about the upcoming one so far? Not A lot, actually. Unlike previous Chapters, there hasn’t been a substantial map leak so far. There are a few kicking around; however, they don’t really have the credibility of other leaks.
What we do know is that it’s codenamed Artemis. This follows the previous naming convention for Fortnite maps.
We could be getting a new map for Chapter 3 Season 5 as they’re testing a brand new map codenamed “Asteria” for season 5! (Other previous map codenames are Athena and Atermis.

There are maps labeled “Fortnite Chapter 4 Leaks map” doing the rounds on social media and being speculated over by streamers along with content creators. However, they don’t seem likely. Some of them are just photoshop jobs of the various maps so far. Others are lifted directly from “map concepts” shared in the past. These are mocked-up Fortnite maps made by talented fans, just showing off their artistic skills. In every new chapter, these concepts get shared as a leaked map.
We can’t really stand by any of these leaks so far. There is a bit of information out there, though. Even this should be taken with a grain of salt, though. It feels like Epic might be getting to the release date without accidentally uploading a trailer of the new map by mistake! Although, there’s still time.
POI Names
These were originally listed in the game as POIs under construction a while ago, so they’re not the most certain leaks. These names could have changed or even be referring to other things. Given how long this list has been around, we wouldn’t bank on this being the next map’s landing spots. However, these are the POI names that have been doing the rounds as Fortnite Chapter 4 leaks:
- Canoe Shop
- Dragons Maw Cave
- Farm
- Forest Ruins
- Haunted hotel
- Hiking Visitors Center
- Hydro Power Station
- Camp
- Castle
- Mansion
- Prison
Some of these correspond pretty well to what has been added to Chapter 3’s map over time. Or, in some cases, match tiny locations that have been around for ages. These might turn out to be relevant for the Artemis map but it’s not a 100% leak, really.
First Person Mode – Fortnite Chapter 4 Leaks
First Person mode is one of the worst-kept secrets of Fortnite Chapter 4. This is something that’s coming to the game soon and it’s clear that it’s been in the works for quite a while. This mode always has kind of been available, though, in Save the World and Creative. However, it’ll be coming as a full Battle Royale too.
This raises some interesting questions. Assuming it’ll be added as an extra game mode, it’ll join Battle Royale and Zero Builds, further splitting the game’s player base. This could mean that the map is being designed around all three modes, which might be a difficult balancing act.
First Person mode tests have already leaked, showing off POIs from the past running through the eyes of a player. It’ll be interesting to see how the game translates to this new viewpoint. First-person would handle better with changes to the gunplay, which isn’t really designed for it right now. Zero Builds might benefit from a chance to gun gameplay too. This is one of the more exciting Fortnite chapter 4 leaks. We’ll have to see what kind of a mode it is when it drops.
Creative 2.0 Leaks
Creative 2.0 is probably the biggest factor of Fortnite chapter 4 leaks that we’ve known about for a while. This is going to be a huge change to how creative works, giving players considerably bigger tools to make their own experiences within Fortnite. This is expected to be creative’s biggest update so far.
The Creative mode is likely to be closer to a full Unreal Editor. Leaks so far have shown off tools that can create much more expansive worlds. It seems the new editor will allow for AI-scripted events and different triggers. This could expand what players can create by quite a bit.
While Creative 2.0 seems like one of the biggest parts of the new Chapter, it isn’t coming immediately. The CEO of Epic Games has apparently confirmed that Fortnite Creative 2.0 is going to be delayed beyond the launch of Chapter 4, all the way down to January!
Apparel – Fortnite Chapter 4 Leaks
One of the most intriguing Fortnite Chapter 4 leaks is a whole new category of cosmetics. Apparel. We don’t know if this will be dropping immediately with Chapter 4, but it looks like it’s coming at some time soon. Leaks say that this type of cosmetic is going to be usable with multiple items at once. From the name, it might be clothes or add-ons that you can put on skins to develop further how they look.
Suppose it does prove to be clothes that you can add to skins. This could get fun. Players might be able to add clothes to their favorite crossover skins, finally making drip Goku real in Fortnite.
The Mech – Fortnite Chapter 4 Leaks
Fortnite items that are out of rotation sometimes receive updates in the files. Typically, this points towards them making a return at some point soon, with the changes bringing them up to date for a re-run. The most recent one of these will likely involve Chapter 4 in some capacity. The Mech has received a texture update, which could see it come back at some point in the new season.
The mech is one of Fortnite’s most controversial features. It’s made a few returns, usually with its usability dialed way down. That’s always a positive, given how overpowered the item was the first time around. It might be making a comeback in one of the future seasons or as part of an event.
Fracture Event Leaks
The Fortnite Fracture event is going to bring Chapter 3 to a close. We’ve even gotten some decent leaks about this in-game finale and what it’s going to entail for fans.
The teases so far have largely been the word reality with a number! This might mean we’re tying into the Reality tree in the event or switching to another reality in Fortnite in some way.
Fracture Lobby Animation
This has leaked and it seems to be the intro to the upcoming event. When players jump in to see Chapter 3 off, they’ll be treated to this animation in the game to take them there. Players are being consumed by the chrome. This fits with a lot of the material on how Fortnite Chapter 3 season 4 has gone so far, tying into those live-action teasers for the season.

Fracture Length
One strangely specific leak for the Fracture event is the length. According to posters who look inside the files, the event is due to be 40 minutes long. This is because matches are going to be joinable for a full 40 minutes after it kicks off. It looks like this is going to be one of our longest events yet. We don’t know too much else about the content from Fortnite Chapter 4 leaks.
Event Stages
Some interactions that will be used in the upcoming event have leaked alongside the rest of this information. Players have found these features as part of the files for the event
- Zero Point toggle focus
- Zero Point Collide
- ZeroPoint Teleporting
- Zero Point tunnel
- Player in Zero Point
- Zero Point Exit
These features point towards the zero point becoming a big part of the event once again. This isn’t the first time that Fortnite has gone to the Zero Point well. It’s come up in past events and is widely linked with the lore of the game. Not the most interesting of the Fortnite Chapter 4 leaks, but it could mean some unique gameplay in Fracture.
Free Cosmetics – Fortnite Chapter 4 Leaks
For taking part in the event, players will receive a free cosmetic. It’s called “Don’t Fall to Pieces!” We don’t know much more about it until we find out how the event is going to go.
The Downtime
After Chapter-ending events, Epic normally takes the game offline for a period. Often, this is an extended period. Chapter 1 famously ended with a days-long black hole where Fortnite seemed to have vanished. Chapter 2 was shorter, but it still took longer than normal to get back into the game with Chapter 3. Leakers have confirmed we can expect more downtime than is normally the case between seasons after the Fracture event ends.
It’s obvious, but we now have confirmation:
Right after the event, we’ll enter an extended downtime.

Skins and Cosmetics – Fortnite Chapter 4 Leaks
Skins and cosmetics are regularly dropped into the games’ files. Often, it isn’t instant when they get released, though. Sometimes skins can sit in the files for months or more before they hit the game. That means there’s a decent number of unreleased skins that we know about already. These are all of the Fortnite Chapter 4 leaks that deal with skins and cosmetics, the ones we’re likely to see in the shop once the new chapter starts.
Crossovers Coming in Fortnite Chapter 4
Epic regularly holds surveys that give us some information about what crossovers they are looking into. In the past, these surveys have narrowed down over time until they’re specifically asking about a crossover or skins coming soon. Two franchises have long been rumored from these surveys, Family Guy and One Piece. These aren’t specifically Fortnite Chapter 4 leaks. However, moving Chapters on would put these expected crossovers in that timeframe.
One Piece is a natural fit, given Epic’s work with Shueisha that’s been talked about in the past. They’ve already crossed over Naruto and Dragon Ball, two of their other IPs that proved a good fit for Fortnite’s audience. It’s only natural at this point to expect One Piece to join Goku and Naruto. Family guy might be more of a meme choice, but that’s never stopped Fortnite in the past!
Miles Morales
One crossover skin that players have been waiting for is Miles Morales. The other Spider-Man had his own dedicated game quite recently, along with being the main character in the Spider-Verse films. While we’ve got plenty of Peter Parkers, Miles Morales is still missing!
This skin is likely to come along with the next movie featuring the character, Into the Spider-Verse. This film was delayed and would have originally tied with this season’s Battle Pass, which featured another character from the film. We can expect to see miles in Chapter 4, thanks to this delay.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Leaks – Esports
Chapter 4 esports are expected to start back up in February 2023. Before this, we’re probably only going to see cash cups and smaller in-game events. However, the FNCS won’t be making a return until three months after the 2022 Invitational. This has been specifically teased as the “next stage” of FNCS too.
What this means is a mystery, but there are some ideas that have been speculated on. The first is the massive success of Zero Builds. While pros and other die-hards might not be the biggest fans of Zero Build, its success makes it clear that it is here to stay. We could see esports embrace Zero Builds in a bigger way.
The FNCS format changed from Chapter 2 to 3 as well. We’ll likely see Duos switched out with a different format too. Whether this is back to Trios, Squads, or even more Solos action, we don’t know just yet.
The Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 update has already hit the staging servers. We’re going to be getting the update pretty soon. We can see which of the Fortnite Chapter 4 leaks are true once the update hits on December 4th.
