Fortnite Battle Royale’s Women’s Day Celebration starts today.
Epic Games and Fortnite celebrate International Women’s Day with free in-game rewards, a women-only cash prize tournament and more. The event surfaced unexpectedly following the Item Shop reset at 7 PM ET. Those loading into the game can find and unlock a slew of free Women’s Day-themed rewards, including a synced emote and wrap. Additionally, Epic Games has prepared more content focused on women for the remainder of March and beyond.

The celebration kicks off with free unlockable rewards via Fortnite’s Item Shop. Like last year’s Rainbow Royale pride event, players can collect four free cosmetics.
All you have to do is navigate to the Item Shop and claim the Women’s Day items. Each item costs 0 V-Bucks, so no actual purchase is necessary.
Here’s a look at what’s available from now until March 14 at 8 PM EST:
- Per Aspera ad Astra Wrap
- Heart Sign Emote
- I Am Fearless Lobby Track (music by Emmy Meli)
- Hop and a Wink Spray
Hub & Discover Row Creative Islands
Epic’s blog post secondly revolves around Creative Mode islands designed by women. Beginning March 9 at 10 AM EST, players can queue into the Redcap Village Creative Hub. Designed by dummblond, this environment features women-created different game modes and islands. Also, beginning March 9, you can find a “Celebrating Women” category in the “Discover” menu.
Here are some other notes regarding this event:
- Fortnite’s in-game Icon Radio station to feature female musicians all month long
- Epic has added a Creative item named “Celebrating Women Flag:
- Players can witness a heart-shaped moon in Battle Royale mode at night
Women of the eRena Tournament
Lastly, Epic Games has partnered with eFuse to host a tournament series aimed only at female Fortnite content creators and professional players. There will be three invitational tournaments, beginning on April 10 AT 5 PM EST.
Each competition boasts a $75K USD prize pool and provides women in the Fortnite scene a chance to showcase their skills. You can expect to see players and streamers such as Sommerset, Alixxa and Chica participate in the Women of the eRena tournament. The format, scoring system and dates are unknown currently, so be sure to check back here for more information.
Fortnite’s Celebrating Women event is now live in-game and the festivities will continue through all of March into April.
