Formats, schedule and information on Blast Premier Series

by Alex Pete

The BLAST Premier Series returns to the highest level of professional Counter-Strike for 2020. The spring season begins on January 31 and everything you need to know is up-to-date scheduled rules, and news.

In the new decade, CSGOs climate has changed dramatically. It’s a very interesting time for both players and fans with the next B site league launch, the introduction of the newly revamped ESL Pro League, and BLAST’s switch from hosting weekend competitions to the full-blown league.

BLAST Premier was announced in September 2019 for 2020. The new building is built around two traditional spring and fall seasons, as are Showdown competitions, regional finals and an annual Global Final. The promoter plans to share bonus pool winnings of $4.25 million throughout all of the 2020 competitions.

The BLAST Premier Spring 2020 season starts on the 31st of January and lasts through the 26th of February.

BLAST Premier Spring comprises 3 double disposal groups, each with 4 teams. Each match is better and the top two teams of each group will move straight forward to the Spring Finals.

The top two teams in each division will be present at the Spring Showdown, with four additional teams to be revealed later. Such ten teams will be grouped into two groups of five, but the format for the showdown is not yet available.
