The new esports company Ellevens Esports has been launched by Wales and Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale.
This company, created by entrepreneur Jonathan Kark and former soccer player Larry Cohen, is co-owned by 38 Entertainment Group.
The team will make its debut this week at the Fifa eClub World Cup in Milan.
Bale also asks worldwide players for a talent search to enter into a professional contract with their teams.
“So it takes real effort and commitment to reach the top of your career. I am looking forward to hiring a squad of world-class game players to Ellevens in a wide range of games.
“Unearthing new talent is an exciting part of the process and it’s been really exciting to be involved in selecting our line-up of players so far.” Brazilian players and Newport in Bale’s hometown of Wales are among the hires so far in this process.
Ellevens has aimed to extend into other networks for sports like Counter-Strike: the global attack, Fortnite and Rocket League.
A total of $100,000 (€ 76,635) in prize packages and a chance for global rankings to help players qualify for the Fifa eWorld Cup in July is offered by the FIFA eClub World cup. In recent years, esport prize money has increased at a huge scale.
Since taking the top prize in a Fortnite tournament, American teenager Kyle Giersdorf has raised over $3 million in 2019 (£ 2.3 million).
Due to winning the US Masters Golf course, the Wimbledon Champion won just over $2 million (£ 1.5 million) and $3 million (£ 2.35 million).
When Real Madrid paid £ 85 m for Tottenham Hotspur in 2013, Bale became the world’s most expensive footballer.
Starting in 2022, the 30-year-old has a deal with La Liga club but was almost left last summer for China.
