Production company and Esports Championship Series organiser FACEIT has partnered with online broadcasting channel Caffeine to create an exclusive overtime show for the duration of the ECS Season 7 Finals.
Branded ‘ECS After Dark’, the new after-action talk show runs following the closure of each day’s competition and is broadcast on Caffeine’s FACEIT channel.
The show is hosted by CS:GO stalwarts Freya Spiers and Pala Gilroy Sen and features a cast of players and personalities, including Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund, Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, and Complexity Gaming CEO Jason Lake. The hosts will bring together a rotating cast of players, analysts and esports personalities for 45 minutes of insights, hot takes, and behind the scenes coverage in front of a live audience from The SSE Arena, Wembley. The show will accompany the full live broadcast of the ECS Season 7 Finals on Caffeine.
Providing musical accompaniment to the ECS Season 7 Finals is rock band Honey Lung, who will also be opening and closing the exclusive two episode show. The 90s grunge-inspired four-piece will act as the official house band of ‘ECS After Dark,’ complementing the on-screen entertainment.
Additionally, the show fields live community questions from the Caffeine chat and FACEIT will be awarding one lucky chat member with one of the professional-standard gaming PCs used by pro players at ECS Season 7 Finals, signed by all the ECS After Dark guests.
Esports Insider says: The partnership between the two to put together an interesting, almost ‘Late Night’ style show is definitely a value add for avid CS:GO fans using Caffeine’s platform. Along with those attending in the live audience, the show is a great opportunity for fans to engage with their favourite players and personalities in a much more relaxed, conversational, and human way.
