For the remainder of 2020, the DreamHack tournaments organiser has established a partnership with the audio technology company DTS. DreamHack ‘s Counter Strike: Global Offensive, DreamHack Masters and DreamHack Open clearly covers the contract.
The partnership began with DreamHack Anaheim in February and is being extended via DreamHack Atlanta and DreamHack Winter. DTS intends to broaden its presence in sports by creating, according to a statement, “further partnerships and opportunities.”
This month, online bookmaker Betway signed a DreamHack sponsorship deal with DreamHack Spring on 19 May. A notice of approval was issued by the Nevada Gaming Control Board which allowed for wagers only two weeks prior to that exact event.
Roger Lodewick, Co-Director of DreamHack, spoke about the deal: “To create new collaborations with fellow innovators in this industry is always wonderful. Just as DreamHack is proud to be a pioneer of the growth and development of the sport sector in the last 25 years, DTS invented and delivered audio solutions in a similar time frame for mobile devices, home theatre systems, movie and beyond.
Sam Keene, Director of Digital Marketing at Xperi, commented: “The DTS are extremely excited for the global partnership with the leading iconic event manager, Dreamhack.” “This collaboration will provide our passionate gaming community with unique, online and offline experiences, as well as firms. With Dreamhack we are very happy to develop and look forward to creating an amazing partnership!”
