by Gabriel Hall

Four Dota 2 teams were confirmed to be taking part with ESL One Hamburg 2019 less than a month away. A total of 12 teams should be involved in this tournament. The tournament takes place on October 25-27 and has a $300,000 prize pool.

The four teams confirmed to date offer exciting previews of what will happen in the next DPC season. The teams are the following:

  • Virtus.pro
    • The team was invited to the tournament directly. However, to have a complete roster, they still need to find some players. Kushnarev Roman’ RAMZES666′ decided to go and join Evil Geniuses with Pavel Khvastunov’s’ 9Pash’ who went to Natus Vincere. The team of Vladimir’ NO[o]ne’ Minenko, Vladimir’ RodjER’ Nikogosyan and Alexei ‘ Solo’ Beresin are therefore leavened.
  • TNC Predator
    • TNC received a direct tournament invitation, like Virtus.pro. One of those who surprised the community of Dota 2 was this SEA Team. The team announced Carlo Palad “Kuku” and Nico “eyyou” Barcelona had left the team, after days of silence. Since then, Kuku has joined Geek Fam in Malaysia. The team has been left to Kim’ Gabbi’ Villafortte, Armel Paul’ Armel’ Tabios, and Timothy “Tims” Randrup with these moves. To complete their listing, we will join Damien “kpii” Chok and Park “March” Tae-won.
  • Vici Gaming
    • was also able to receive direct invitation. While Team Captain Pan “Fade” Yi left and joined Team Aster. Although the team was complete. Xiong “Pyw” Jiahan is to replace him. Zhang Chengjun changed his ID into Eurus. Another change was his.
  • Gambit Esports
    • Gambit enters the competition after winning the CS:GO GG.Bet Hamburg Invitational. This was held from September 15 to 19 and had Gambit defeat six teams to enter the ESL One tournament.

The other teams that are set to be part of this ESL One Hamburg 2019 competition are:

  • Direct Invite (4)
  • Europe Qualifier (1)
  • North American Qualifier (1)
  • China Qualifier (1)
  • Southeast Asia Qualifier (1)

Qualifiers are already in progress and should be completed by 29 September. It’s SD Dragons going against Geek Fam to take a slot in the Grand Finals for the Southeast Asia Qualifier. Team Aster and CDEC Gaming are in the same situation for China Qualifiers.

In the meantime, Vikin.gg and Wind and Rain are fighting for a chance at the Grand Finals. The first set of games is currently being played for the North America Qualifier.
