Here are the best Dota 2 heroes after the arrival of 7.34.
Dota 2’s latest patch is here, and it brought tons of interesting changes. Dota 2 7.34 have nerfed and buffed a lot of heroes, which changed the meta as we know it. Naturally, tons of new heroes suddenly became much more popular, so it’s interesting to see which ones are the best.
Speaking of the top Dota 2 patch 7.34 heroes so far, we’ve already covered the biggest winners and biggest losers. With that said, since the patch has been out for a few days now, we also have the first data that reveals the actual win rate of some heroes. Let’s go through some of the details you should know because they will help you when you’re wondering which heroes to get.
Sand King
A quick look at the data shows that Sand King is the most successful hero in the Dota 2 patch 7.34, at least for now. The hero has a pretty impressive win rate of more than 57%, which puts him almost one percent over the number 2 spot on the list. This should not be a surprise, considering the changes the hero had to go through.
Speaking of changes, Sand King received a few interesting things. The first one is Sand Storm, which is now an ability that moves toward the hero at the speed of 100 MS. Although this change did not seem that interesting, it definitely made the hero a lot stronger.
Another big change that has affected Sand King’s win rate is Epicenter and Aghanim’s Shard. This item now allows the hero to trigger one pulse every 2.5s seconds, which greatly increases Sand King’s farming speed and overall damage output.
Aside these 2 changes, Sand King also received a few small tweaks to his talents. It will be interesting to see if Valve will decide to nerf this hero in the upcoming 7.34b because of the huge spike in his win rate.
Riki
Perhaps the most interesting hero on the list is Riki. At the time of writing this overview, this is the Dota 2 hero with the second-best win rate at 56%. What’s even more surprising is that he has almost a 9.24% pick rate, which means he appears once every 10 matches.
When it comes down to the Dota 2 Patch 7.34 change, Riki received several weird ones. First, his base armor and damage are down by 2 and 14, respectively, but his base AGI is up from 18 to 30. Furthermore, the hero’s AGI gain is now 2.4 instead of 1.4, and his STR gain is down from 2.6 to 2.
In addition to the difference in the stats, Riki’s Cloak and Dagger also got a nerf because the backstab ability damage multiplier is now 1.8 instead of 2. Even though it seems like this is one of the Dota 2 Patch 7.34 heroes that received nerfs, it seems like the changes have made him a lot more successful.
Witch Doctor
With more than a 21% pick rate, Witch Doctor is one of the most popular heroes in Dota 2 right now. Some of you may be surprised, but people who’ve read the change log after the new patch will realize what makes him so special.
Following the changes, Witch Doctor’s str is now down from 2.3 to 2.1, but he received a lot of other buffs. Starting with Paralyzing Cask, the ability’s bounce delay is now 0.1s instead of 0.3s.
Death Ward also received buffs because it deals pure damage and goes through debuff immunity. Getting an Aghs will also allow the ability’s attacks to bounce to creeps, but it deals slightly less damage than before (60/110/160 instead of 90/150/210).
Lastly, Voodoo Switcheroo also received buffs because the ability reduces 40 AS instead of 30, but it costs 200 instead of 150 mana.
Wraith King
The next name on the list is for a carry that is strong in pretty much any skill bracket. Wraith King is a hero known for his ability to do a lot of damage and the fact that he’s an excellent counter to a lot of enemies. Considering the fact that the Dota 2 7.34 patch introduced a few buffs, it’s no surprise that his win rating is almost 55%.
The newest patch in Dota 2 made WK a lot more popular. The skeletons from the hero’s Vampiric Spirit ability now deal 25% more damage to heroes and have 2 extra armor. Needless to say, this makes them a lot more dangerous to play against.
Wraith King’s talents also got a few buffs. Vampiric Spirit’s lifesteal bonus is 10% instead of 8%, and Wraitfire Blast Stun Duration from the level 15 talent is now +0.75s instead of +0.5s.
Considering the 4 buffs, we wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes one of the most successful heroes in Dota 2. We’ll watch WK to see if he’ll appear in professional games.
Warlock
The last hero we want to talk about when it comes down to the names with the highest win rate in 7.34 so far is Warlock. The latter has almost the same win rate as WK, which is impressive, considering that the support was nowhere to be found prior to the arrival of the new patch.
Warlock received a lot of interesting changes in 7.34, especially to Fatal Bonds. The ability allows the ero to summon an imp when a unit dies while under its effect. This imp is annoying to deal with and deals and deals a lot of damage, especially when it explodes.
Aside from Fatal Bonds, the golems from the Chaotic offering now have 60% slow resistance, making them even harder to kill. The downside is that they also cost more mana to summon.
Lately, Uheavel with an Agh’s shard will also summon imp from the current level of Fatal Bonds. In other words, Warlock deals a lot more damage overall, which is why he’s one of the best supports in the game right now.
