North American organisation Dignitas has made its first steps into the Chinese esports market through a streaming partnership with HUYA.

Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed. This is the latest HUYA partnership to be announced in recent months. Team Secret entered a multi-year deal with the Chinese streaming platform in May, and Team Liquid re-upped their current arrangement in June.

Dignitas’ latest venture comes on the heels of strategic hires related to streaming content — Jeremy Dempe as Director of Content and John “TYPO” Williams as Creative Director.

HUYA joins HyperX, Raynor Gaming, RESPAWN by Razer, SIG, ExpressVPN, Verizon, Champion, and VIE.gg, as a partner of the HBSE-owned organisation.

Esports Insider says: China is currently the largest esports market in the world, so reaching this growing market has understandably become a priority for outside organisations. HUYA is taking full advantage of this, and it will be interesting to see how partnerships of this type help grow esports brands outside of their home countries.
