CS:GO receives highest ever average player count

by Ben Hill

Over the last 30 days, CS: GO has had a total of 417,149 games, the largest amount of the campaign, according to the Steam Charts figures.

The average player size for most of 2019 was under 400,000, until August, when StarLadder Berlin Major remained and the figures were restored.

At least some possible reasons are there for failing to record the average player counts. This month the new release of de cache was released, one of the most popular maps in the history of the game.

Since Oct, ten and Valve also introduced it to casual, deathmatch and scrimmage servers on Oct. 18. The revised version has been available on the player workstation. Players can play Cache on third party matchmaking platforms such as FACEIT and ESEA in competitive matches as well.

Majors are known to bring players back to the game as they are staring at the world’s best teams and feel encouraged to play some games again.

Yet CS: GO doesn’t register at its end. The maximum number of 747,713 games in the last 30 days is well behind the April 2016 record. A maximum of 850,485 played after the first Luminosity CS: GO Tournament won at MLG Columbus.

Dota 2, on the other hand, had the lowest average player size of 398,058 in the last 30 days, far below the standards of the game.
