Valorant has officially launched and Riot has added some brand new goodies to pair with the announcement.
We’ve got a new character called Reyna, a new map called Ascent and a bunch of awesome quality of life changes now that the game is out of beta.
But can Valorant become the big time esport everyone expect it to be?

This video didn't really attack the topic. I stopped 8 minutes in because it seemed to be more of a Valorant promo video than anything analyzing the game or being critical of it.

I played Valorant for 2hours, before going back to dust 2. It is boring
No, it can't, the economy needs work, the maps need lots of work, the pistol balancing needs work, the vandal and phantom don't feel good, some agents are shit, the ttk compared to ttd is fucked up big time, the peakers advantage is still bad even though they said it would be fixed, and there are only 4 maps, to begin with. Im not saying the game is shit, I think it has a ton of potential, the agents are cool, some of the guns are good, the frames are very stead since full launch, most of the game looks and feels great. I just think that there is so much shit you have to deal with just to play and enjoy the game, its just not worth it for me at least right now. It might be different for you.
Maybe they need to fix the leavers issue. Every fucking game I have to deal with leavers

The new map is awful, like for real it sucks. The entire map has such weird angles if you’re defending if you peak anything you suddenly have about 4 angles you’re visible from, same for attacking. Not to mention how cramped the entire CT side of the map is, you’ll only ever be able see a small amount of the map while the Ts have an entire football field to work with. Idk who green lighted this map n said “Wow this is great!”. I feel like it was just so lazily done. They had the opportunity to make a nice diverse map but they thought making B half of the map into the tutorial zone would be an amazing idea or something. A side looks more like that CSGO map that has different maps inside of it but they’re movie sets. It’s a shame how poorly this map was done, I find myself wanting to dodge it more and more since it just is not fun to play.

Fuck those discord notifications in the background. Thought i had friends for a few seconds there.
For me personally i feel like the biggest disappointment is the fact that tier rewards for contracts take a lot of XP and you only get XP for the amount of rounds you've played and how many you've won. In a shooter like COD you get XP for kills, assists, plants, defuses and so on. right now you have to play hundreds of games to even complete only 10 tiers of contracts on only one Agent. With there only being 2 game modes and 4? maps it gets kind of boring already to get into that grind. Ofcourse this is a personal thing for me cause im someone who enjoys completing challenges for XP rewards or completing all tiers of a pass as fast as possible. But i do think it is kind of strange in general that the guy who sits at the top with a 30-5 score for example gets the same amount of XP as the guy on the bottom who's 8-20. Right now in terms of balance the game feels pretty good but on the next big patch i'd like to see different types of challenges apart from the daily ones that maybe also are character binded and just more diverse ways of earning XP.

what I really think is a big factor in this game that needs to change is the movement, SO STIFF
I understand why people think valorant is shit cause in valorant guns are so broken some in a good way and some in a bad way but its a new game i think it can improve
When your content switches to recaps of what you talked about on the content that nobody cares about
the new map is dust 2 one main entrance to B two entrances to A a cat walk and you can go B from mid it's literally the same map and the mid area is the most open area in not just that map but all 4 maps sooo i'm starting to think you don't actually play the same game.
Can they please just let the community make the maps? Riot is actual ass at making maps.
Its actually fun playing it but its up to riot how to keep the game alive. They've done great keeping league alive so I wonder what they'll do on an FPS game.
