On September 13-14, six CS:GO teams will go head-to-head at the 7,000 capacity VTB Arena in Moscow. Three of the six participating teams have been confirmed as Natus Vincere, Ninjas in Pyjamas and ENCE. The remaining three teams will be a mix of a local qualifier and international teams participating in the Global BLAST Pro Series 2019 Season.

Nicolas Estrup, Director of Product and Experience at BLAST Pro Series, commented “The facilities at the new VTB Arena are amazing and setting up the BLAST Pro Series Arena show in Moscow will be something truly special for us. The 12.000 spectator venue is a part of the newly built 1.5 billion dollar VTB Stadium complex, which gives us a lot of possibilities to create an amazing show for the Russian fans.”

It has also been confirmed that the tournament will be co-produced by Winstrike. The company will handle both regional and local production.

“When we look at new territories, the first thing we do is looking for a strong local partner to co-produce and promote the tournament on local terms. In Winstrike we’ve connected with a very strong partner who understands the market, the esports core scene and mainstream entertainment.” said, Jordi Roig, Executive Producer of BLAST Pro Series.

“We believe, together with Winstrike, we can create a live experience that will show the fans our appreciation of the feedback and loyalty, but also give them – and all viewers – a great live experience with the very best Counter-Strike has to offer.”

In April, BLAST Pro Series introduced a global format that would see seven live tournaments throughout the year, leading to a grand final in December. So far, Sao Paulo, Miami, Madrid and Los Angeles have all been announced, with Moscow now being confirmed as the 5th stop. Throughout the tournament, a point system will decide the four teams who head to the finals, where a $350,000 (£279.000) prize pool with be up for grabs.

Esports Insider says: RFRSH Entertainment is doing a great job in making sure that the BLAST Pro Series heads to different regions. With two more stops and the grand final still to be announced, we hope the diversity continues.
