The Spring Final will mark the second time BLAST Premier has taken place in Lisbon. In 2018, the BLAST Pro Series took place at the Altice Arena in front of a capacity crowd.
The first three days of the competition will take place behind closed doors while the two remaining days will feature an audience of 6,000.
Charlotte Kenny, Managing Director of BLAST Premier, spoke on the return to Lisbon: “We are delighted to announce our return to Lisbon nearly four years since the BLAST Pro Series in 2018. Our previous experience with the Portuguese Counter-Strike community was incredible, so this is the perfect setting for BLAST Premier’s first arena event of 2022.
“Altice Arena, one of Europe’s biggest indoor venues, is a great place to welcome eight of the world’s leading CS:GO teams and our fantastic fanbase. We can’t wait to be back and to showcase what makes BLAST Premier so special.”

So far, FaZe Clan, G2 Esports, Team Vitality, BIG, and OG have secured qualification for the Spring Final, with the two remaining places decided from the winners of BLAST’s Spring Showdown events taking place in April.
2022 has been a busy year for BLAST Premier. So far, the company has signed deals with the likes of Maersk in addition to extending deals with Shikenso Analytics, Betway, and audio peripherals brand EPOS.
Esports Insider says: Considering the success of its first visit to Lisbon in 2018, it’s not surprising to see BLAST Premier return to the city. As restrictions start to ease even more it’s good to see more countries have the opportunity to host esports events again.
