The Premier series will feature a Best-Of-Three format. BLAST CEO Robbie Douek quoted the following about the format “months developing the right format. A format that will create the greatest entertainment product for fans at events and viewers watching across the world. We believe we have perfected that format.”
The tournament series will be played across a spring and fall season. It starts with 12 teams in three groups, with a week of matches per group. The series also features a play-in system which enables any team to attempt and qualify for the event.
Although, BLAST Pro series has been infamous among fans for its repetitive nature and very complex formats, Nicolas Estrup the Director of Product and Experience for BLAST has said that they have “taken on board the incredible feedback from our show surveys and across the Counter-Strike community.”
