Millions of esports enthusiasts around the world are starting the new year by playing Diretide games with their friends. Diretide is the new seasonal game mode that has been introduced to Dota 2 with Part II of the Battle Pass 2022, which is being held till January 12, 2023.

You can play with dozens of heroes in Diretide mode to defend your wells against Roshan and enemy heroes. People can attack Greevils on the map with their team to collect Taffy and score them in enemy wells. You can score Taffy in any of the 4 enemy wells in Diretide matches.

Roshan will strike enemy heroes on the map and attack the well with the most Taffy scored in it. The first team to lose all 4 of their wells to Roshan will be defeated in Diretide mode. You can begin the new year by winning Diretide games to earn Candy and other rewards in the game.

Players can complete Weekly Quests with the Battle Pass 2022 to earn bonus battle points from their matches. How to Play Broodmother in Diretide

Broodmother deposits Taffy in enemy well in Diretide

Broodmother is an Agility hero who can spin webs across the map for vision and increased movement speed. The melee hero can turn into an unprecedented carry hero in Diretide mode. Broodmother can lead an army of young spiderlings to attack Greevils around Roshan using her ulti.

The spiderlings can be spread throughout the Diretide map to collect more Taffy in less time while playing the new seasonal game mode. You can spin webs all around enemy wells to score Taffy constantly in the game. Broodmother can easily chase down enemy heroes using her boosted movement speed and annihilate them in battles.

The carry hero can use a maximum of up to 9 webs to protect herself using the ability Spin Web. These webs can be spun instantly to provide bonus health regeneration and movement speed to Broodmother. She gains 11 health regeneration per second and up to 48% movement speed while sprinting inside the webs that she has spun.

Each web can be cast for 40 mana in the game. Broodmother gains an additional 3 charges for Spin Web at level 10 through the Talent Tree. The melee hero can stay within the webs that she has spun while attacking Greevils to maintain her health in Diretide matches.

Broodmother can activate Insatiable Hunger to regenerate a portion of her health with each attack. Insatiable Hunger provides 100% Lifesteal and 65 bonus damage for up to 14 seconds. It has a cooldown of 25 seconds and consumes 80 mana.

People can survive longer during team fights by using Insatiable Hunger while attacking enemy heroes in Diretide mode. You can use Insatiable Hunger to fight and destroy Taffy Guardians in Diretide matches while playing Broodmother.

The Lifesteal can help her initiate battles against a number of enemy units without dying by the end of the fight. Many people also use Insatiable Hunger while attacking neutral creep camps around Greevils.

She can use Valor using Medallion of Courage to increase the armor of allies by 5 or reduce the armor of enemy units by 5. These effects last for up to 12 seconds. Broodmother will have her armor reduced by 5 after casting Valor in battle. The item costs 1025 gold in the game.

Echo Sabre

Echo Sabre provides 15 attack damage, 13 Strength, 10 attack speed, 10 Intelligence, and 1.75 mana regeneration to Broodmother. It can be bought for 2500 gold. The Agility hero can strike her enemies twice every 6 seconds using the passive ability, Echo Strike, which is available to melee heroes who have purchased Echo Sabre.

The active ability, Soul Burn, can be used to silence enemy units for up to 5 seconds. Enemy units affected by Soul Burn take up to 30% more damage from incoming magical spells and attacks. It has a cooldown of 18 seconds and requires 100 mana.

Black King Bar

Black King Bar provides 24 attack damage and 10 Strength to the Agility hero. It costs 4050 gold in the game. You can activate Black King Bar to provide spell immunity to Broodmother for up to 9 seconds. The duration of spell immunity can gradually decrease to 6 seconds later in the game.

Sange And Yasha

Sange and Yasha costs 4100 gold.

Best Allies for Broodmother in Diretide

Phantom Assassin

Phantom Assassin can slit enemy heroes apart with her physical attacks. The carry hero is an outstanding ally for Broodmother in Diretide games. Phantom Assassin can attack heroes who are slowed by Broodmother for quick kills in battles.

Allies playing Phantom Assassin can move closer to enemy heroes affected by Silken Bola by using Phantom Strike. The Agility hero can jump onto enemies within a cast range of 1000 using Phantom Strike during team fights.

Phantom Strike provides 170 bonus attack speed and up to 25% Lifesteal to the Phantom Assassin for up to 2 seconds. It has a cooldown of 5 seconds and consumes 50 mana per cast. Teammates can use Stifling Dagger on enemy units to further decrease the movement speed of enemy heroes.

Stifling Dagger slows down the movement speed of enemy heroes by 4 seconds. It deals up to 70% of Phantom Assassin’s attack damage per cast. It has a reduced cooldown of 6 seconds, allowing Phantom Assassin to nuke Greevils in Diretide matches for additional Taffy. Stifling Dagger requires 30 mana in the game.

Her ulti, Coup De Grace, is a passive ability that provides a 15% chance to deal 450% critical damage with her attacks. Allies can purchase items like Battle Fury and Daedalus for increased attack damage, allowing Phantom Assassin to neutralize her enemies with a few deft strikes with her blades.

Tinker

Tinker is an advanced Intelligence hero in Dota 2. He can use his abilities to deal burst damage that can make enemies explode within seconds of entering a battle. Tinker has a large mana pool that enables him to cast several spells simultaneously to destroy his opponents in Diretide matches.

The ranged hero can nuke multiple enemy heroes to achieve Killing Sprees in the game. Allies can cast Lasers to deal up to 300 Pure damage to their opponents in the game. Lasers can cause enemy heroes to miss their attacks for up to 4.5 seconds. Laser has a cooldown of 14 seconds and consumes 140 mana.

Heat-Seeking Missiles can be used to search for heroes to kill that are miles away from Tinker. These missiles deal up to 340 magical damage to the nearest 2 enemy units. Heat-Seeking Missiles require 125 mana and have a cooldown of 18 seconds.

The increased miss rate provided by Laser can make Tinker a worthy ally to Broodmother in Diretide games. Most players who play Tinker buy a Blink Dagger to be able to teleport themselves freely on the battleground.

His ulti, Rearm, lets Tinker reload all the cooldowns of his abilities in less than 1.3 seconds. It has a cooldown of 6 seconds, taking 240 mana to be used.
