Bahrain set to host Blast Pro Series Global Finals » TalkEsport

Blast Pro has declared the global final is set to take place in Bahrain. The event is certainly the biggest in magnitude than any other event hosted there. Teams are set to compete for a cash prize of $500,000.

The tournament will take place between 13-14th December, a two-day event filled with nonstop action, the format will be like any other Blast Event. The Bahrain Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs are responsible to organize the competition.

In a statement given to HLTV.org Robbie Douek, CEO of BLAST Pro Series said:

Bahrain is the perfect place to hold the 2019 Global Final,” said Robbie Douek, CEO of BLAST Pro Series. “There is already a strong and engaged base of fans, an emerging scene of talented young players, and a country famed for its welcoming hospitality.
We will be bringing four of the world’s best teams to battle it out for the chance to be crowned Champion.
Gaming and esports are one of the most popular activities for young people across the world. It is highly-skilled, engaging and interactive. People connect across continents, they create friendships, work together, learn new skills, solve puzzles, focus on teamwork and have a lot of fun. We are looking forward to welcoming fans and their families to the event in Bahrain.

Ahead of the BLAST Pro Series event in Moscow, the season leaderboard looks as follows:

  • Liquid – 26 points
  • Astralis – 22 points
  • FaZe – 20 points
  • NiP – 10 points
  • MIBR – 8 points
  • Natus Vincere – 6 points
  • Cloud9 – 6 points

Four of the best performing teams will reach the island country located in the Gulf of Persia to fight for the $500,000 in a best of three single-elimination format. As of now, Liquid is at the top of the leaderboard with 26 points, 4 points ahead of Astralis. Blast Pro Copenhagen is the final chance to qualify for this event, which will be hosted between 1-2nd November.
