The Main Event of the ECS Season 7 is all set to take place in London at the SSE Arena from 6th to 9th June. The competition will host some of the best teams in the world. They will compete for the attractive $500,000 prize pool. Speaking of the best team in the world, we will be seeing Astralis in action. The team has had its fair share of troubles lately, yet they are still the best team in the world. Let’s see how Astralis will be aiming to assert its dominance in the competition.

The biggest problem of Astralis in 2019, is the lack of competition played. Moreover, the side has lost the last two competition the competed in. Despite the poor statistics, we believe that Astralis is still the No.1 candidate to lift the trophy.  You might argue that the team didn’t had the best success in recent LAN competition, but one should never forget that they are still the best CS: GO team in the world.

Back to Their Winning Ways?

From late 2017 to mid 2019, Astralis has proved itself to be arguably the best team in the world. They won several competitions and earned millions as a teams. It reached to a point that the community was getting “bored”. Since every one just assumed that no matter which team or which competition Astralis will play, they will come out the champions.

The Danish kings had an exciting start to the 2019, with their third Major title victory. It was also their second consecutive Major title. After that the team also claimed the first spot at the Blast Pro Series Sao Paulo. After their second triumph of the year, the team started to falter. They failed to reach the grand finale of the BPS Miami and lost the BPS Madrid 2-0 to ENCE. This defeat to ENCE also ended the 30+ win streak of Astralis on Nuke.

The series of poor performance led to some hatred from the hater of the Danes. Since the said that Astralis only competed in the Blast Pro Series event since it was organized by their parent company. So they chose to miss out on other competition of the circuit. These accusations also led to them being called “Blastralis”.

Yet despite the hate, we are confident that Astralis is ready to silence its critics in their non BPS event since the Major. Team are preparing to take the first spot, yet the points margin is so huge that they won’t catch up to the Danes if if they somehow defeat them, which they won’t.

Astralis is simply a class apart, the team did fell slightly in the ranks but that is not a big deal, since they are humans after all. They have made a wise choice by taking some time off. It will give them the boosts that they badly needed, and we might just see a new win streak for the Danes in London.
