Two new unreleased legends, including their name and capabilities, were added in the mid-season 3 updates for Apex Legends. This is all we know of about the new’ Conduit’ character.
The first myth we’ve looked at was Forge, who was also identified as an “augmented brawler” Here’s his entire list of skills.
In the archives of the game there were even some hints that Forge could indeed be introduced as the next legend in season 4. Rosie (also known as Loba) is previously expected to be the next star.
Nevertheless, another new character, still growing, called’ Conduit’ was alongside Forge. With the large data miner That1MiningGuy, we now have much more awareness about this game file character.
Conduit was first leaked alongside Forge on November 5 but his character could not be done much, with only code and no image attached. Nevertheless, the code shows us his preliminary skill and he is identified as “Overshield Conductor.”
What are Conduit’s abilities?
- Tactical: Arc Flash: Deals damage to Conduit’s shields to give targeted allies an overshield.
- Passive: Capacitance: Conduit’s base health is 50 health and 50 shield, instead of 100 health. Conduit gradually regenerates shield over time.
- Ultimate: Short Circuit: Conduit channels their shields into a giant arc ball that flies across the battlefield, stealing shields from enemies.
In Apex Legends, what is Overshield?
You will notice that’ Overshield’ is not something currently in Apex Legends; however, That1MiningGuy says it is a new item that will be released in the future.
The leaker claims that the overshield would apply to the’ evolving body shield,’ although it was not proven. This is a special shield form that is strengthened according to how many people kill a player.
When overshield is introduced, it is likely that Conduit is added to complement the new item at the same time.
From these abilities, it is clear that a Conduit is a form of shield support legend similar to another formerly leaked character, Immortal.
The abilities of Immortal were, however, slightly different, because he was able to repair a “cloud of Nanites” for his own teammates. The leaked Ultimate of Immortal allows him to fully restore his health and protection.
Apex Legend’s Conduit release date
So far only new legend has been introduced every season by Respawn. For season 4, Rosie (aka Loba) was planned, but that is not proven. Leaks not only mentioned Forge came in the next season as a villain, but probably more.
Forge may just be the FYI fourth season character–it also says’ Chars’ –perhaps more than one character finally is received per season? Time’s going to say.
The plural can indicate that Respawn should add more than one legend for the first time.
It is likely that they will both work together merely as Conduit has been applied to the game files together with Forge.
However, all this is still unconfirmed and anything could happen with the legends still in motion. As always, data leaks are the best way we have, but they are never guaranteed.
