Anarchy on the Rift: The Russian Rebels Who Didn't Give a F@%#

by devaccess

Today we’re going to take you back. Back before studio sets and franchised leagues and Dr.Pepper sponsorships.

To a time when games weren’t solved.

When there was no such thing as the LCS and the pro League of Legends scene was just a bunch of tournaments.

When one Russian team was able to outsmart the world. When Moscow Five changed everything.

Why make us remember them? They may have been great players but they were criminals and con men.

Ahh the good old times. When they rival clg.eu in europe. Darien plays with tongue out like a snake, genja plays with triple dorans blade, diamond innovating in the jungle, alex ich playing master yi ap mid and gosu stealing kills ?

My season of playing LOL was this season where M5 was the monster team. I will still remember them as true legend because they're the one who ultimately change the meta in League. I still cheer for Gambit after their disbandment.

G2 now reminds me a lot of M5 then, but of course many things in E-Sports have changed yet but watching M5 brought me into E-Sports.

Instead of saying empty words like great, fantastic, and etc – you had the chance to explain the innovative roaming support + jungler, their iconic weird pics and why did they worked, how what they did in X meta and why it was successful. And other things to cover about team members, their strengths and weaknesses. Sry, leaving a dislike <3

I remember watching season 2 worlds and thinking how Moscow 5 was gonna steamroll through everyone… but then came TPA. Moscow 5 was such an exciting team to watch, imo they should be credited with making league what it is today, they were always about playing early game and playing proactive just like how the modern teams want to play. Their rivalry with CLG EU will always be one of my favorites. I still have my M5 jersey hanging in my closet. Alex Ich playing Kha mid was also a lot of fun to watch. I really miss the old days of League… the game was so fun back then and now it just keeps getting more and more boring.

@thescore esports: You forgot one little thing to make this video a jewel. How they crafted the game into what we know today in the meta. Jungle invade by diamond, swap lanes, objective control, Builds like kog maw triforce by Genja, etc. I know it is a bit more technical for the purpose of the video, nevertheless. One of the best tribute videos to M5
