SK Gaming today announced a partnership with German insurance firm ARAG, and the companies plan to collaborate on content creation, event activations, and more.
ARAG offers insurance in 17 countries, including legal and health insurance, but also has an “ARAG web@ktiv” plan that covers digital concerns such as online identity theft, cyberbullying, and damaged gaming hardware. The partnership with SK Gaming will tie into ARAG’s Corporate Social Responsibility program regarding cyberbullying.
SK Gaming players will wear the ARAG logo on their jerseys. The companies will collaborate to create content and hold event activations, including one at gamescom 2019 later this month in Cologne, Germany. ARAG is also looking to develop insurance products targeted at professional and casual esports players.
“We’re happy to welcome ARAG to the SK Gaming family and look forward to helping them become even better known within the younger demographics and address some of their core issues,” said SK Gaming CEO Alexander Müller, in a release. “We share many of the same values such as experience and internationality, [and] striving for best quality, which makes this a very natural fit. Both SK Gaming and ARAG will benefit greatly from this partnership as we exchange the knowledge we’ve accumulated in our respective fields throughout the years.”
SK Gaming’s current partners also include Deutsche Telekom, Mercedes-Benz, Sennheiser, MTN DEW AMP GAME FUEL, and Western Digital.
