United Kingdom-based esports organization Method has partnered with Runtime.gg as the official nutrition sponsor for its Race to World First World of Warcraft raiding competition.
Runtime.gg will provide meal replacement shakes and bars as Method’s World of Warcraft guild attempts to be first in the world to defeat the new Eternal Palace raid that was introduced today. Players will be battling bosses for 16 or more hours per day, with the raiding attempt potentially lasting as long as three weeks.
“It takes a lot of mental energy and physical stamina to compete at this level, with the high requirements of the race taking a big toll, especially when it’s a long one—which the Eternal Palace is shaping up to be,” said Method co-founder and co-owner Scott “Sco” McMillan, in a release. “With the help of Runtime, we’re prepared to put our best foot forward and have complete confidence in their ability to support our players throughout this intense racing period.”

Method previously partnered with Red Bull to stream its Race to World First events, but the companies had a falling out as McMillan alleged that Red Bull began to “pursue the route of trying to take ownership of the Race to World First events” and sought partnerships with rival guilds Limit and Pieces.
Red Bull and Method are now running separate streams of the attempt, with Red Bull indeed partnering with Limit and Pieces along with other international guilds. Red Bull’s partners for the event include AOC , ASUS Republic of Gamers , Secretlab , and HyperX . Method has partnered with TakeTV in Germany to host and produce its stream, and has also partnered with Secretlab as its gaming chair sponsor.
