Warsteiner Signs On as Main Sponsor for 99Liga

German brewer Warsteiner has become the first major sponsor of the 11th season of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Database-Link-e1521645463907 (CS: GO) tournament 99Liga. The partnership will allow parent organization, Berlin-based Freaks 4U Gaming GmbH Database-Link-e1521645463907, to expand its coverage of the event for its current and following season.

99Liga is the official tournament of 99Damage, a German language Counter-Strike: Global Offensive website. The site is run by Freaks 4U Gaming GmbH, which also hosts the 99Damage Arena and 99Damage Masters.

Division One of 99Liga Season 11 began March 5, with the League Stage running through April 21. The playoffs will take place from May 11-12 and include a prize pool of €20.8K EUR ($23.7K USD).

In December, 99Liga will hold its first major offline final at the Warsteiner Music Hall in Dortmund, Germany. The LAN tournament will be live-streamed in front of up to 2,500 on-site visitors, as well as “tens of thousands” of online viewers.

The 99Liga LAN tournament will include professional teams from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, each competing for the five-figure prize pool. The tournament’s other partners include bet-at-home.com and Twitch. Warsteiner signed a three-year deal with ESL Germany in 2018, which included a license to distribute beverages at events.

Freaks 4U Gaming was named number 47 in the top 50 fastest growing companies according to the growth champions 2019 list compiled by FOCUS Business magazine. Its Twitch channel, esl99damage, was among the top-viewed CS: GO Twitch channels Feb. 26 – March 4.
