MIBR has qualified for the LAN finals of ECS Season 7. The Brazilians accomplished this feat after winning the final of the fifth week against Team Liquid. The Brazilians beat Team Liquid last week in the fourth round. Game 1
The Overpass was the first map of the series which was picked Team Liquid. The Americans had a good start. The team won the pistol round and managed to win several consecutive rounds playing as CTs. The score was 12-3 at the end of the first half, in favor of Liquid MIBR reacted poorly as a team, and achieved poor statistics. Only Marcelo “coldzera” David got positive K / D in the first half.
After the break, the North American side continued to assert is dominance. Liquid won the second pistol round of the match and dropped only one round in the second half, winning the map with the score of 16-4. In the final round, Melo’s Epitacio “TACO” was in an uncomfortable 1v4 clutch. He managed to do well, and killed off three opponents, but it was not enough to guarantee the clutch and push the match.
