As a result, beta testing for the new — or should we call it old — game has attracted the attention of WoW broadcasters who also have an itch for that nostalgic WoW feeling. The “Just Chatting” category on Twitch was created as a division of the “IRL” label on Twitch that encompassed a mass amount of different sub-genres, and since its inception in late September of 2018, Just Chatting saw immense growth.

However, the category has seen viewership stagnation lately and this past week its 11.8M hours watched total marked the lowest week for viewership of Just Chatting in 2019. As top Twitch influencers continually veer toward playing social-friendly games, the need for Just Chatting and frequency of Just Chatting sessions could be effected as top broadcasters like Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris play more titles like Grand Theft Auto V and WoW.
