In Fortnite Battle Royale, the new item “Shadow Bomb” is likely to get banned. Since a glitch ensures that players stay invisible on a permanent basis, that could pose a huge problem in the World Cup qualifiers.

The item Shadow Bomb which was recently introduced with patch 8.51 makes you invisible for 6 seconds. You can do double jumps and run faster, but at the same time, you cannot shoot or build. Yet, in duo mode to players found a bug with the new item. If you get knocked down in the invisible state and then revived by a comrade, you probably remain invisible for the rest of the game!

This is the 2nd shadow bomb glitch

The permanent invisibility bug is not the only bug with the Shadow Bombs. The streamer TimTheTatman has found that if you use a geyser while under the effect of the bomb, you will also remain invisible.

World Cup qualifiers could be problematic

For a fair competition, you need a game that does not contain weird bugs, glitches, and exploits that give some players big benefits. Invisible players are definitely such a “game-breaker” and Epic should better fix the problem quickly.

The previously mentioned glitches can be easily exploited by anyone, making them a serious problem in the game. Since they recently appeared before the next qualifying round of the World Cup, the bugs are likely to wreck the competition. Thousands of players will fight for coveted qualifying points next weekend. It’s about $ 1 million in pool money and a spot for the finals in the summer, where a total of $ 30 million can be won.

Organizer not paying the winnings

Speaking of winnings, several participants of the Fortnite event at the Australian Open in Melbourne continue to wait for their promised winnings three months after the competition. Partial payments of 50,000 Australian dollars have not yet been made. According to an e-mail from Epic Games, the studio has nothing to do with the prizes of the event.

The organizers of the Australian Open this year had the idea to organize an esport competition in Fortnite for the first time in parallel to the major tennis tournament in Melbourne. A total of 500 participants from Australia played for prize money of 400,000 Australian dollars. Several months after the event ended, players from the event spoke up and told the Reddit forum that they were still waiting for their winnings.

The trouble was revealed by a player named “ttvLeftRightGN”, who is waiting for his $ 1,000. Participant “Devour” has even started a list of all players currently waiting for their winnings. In some cases, even payouts of AUD 50,000 have not yet been awarded out to participants. According to an email from Epic Games, the studio has nothing to do with this event.
