The Fortnite World Cup qualifiers are off to a rocky start. Since less than 24 hours ago, the community accused a player of cheating in the first phase of the competition. Team Rise’s XXiF is in the spotlight for getting “free” elimination points in week three of the qualifiers. The player teamed up with his friends and got easy kills on the board. This act was enough to get him the 2nd spot with 69 points in the North America Eastern qualifiers.
This is a 2nd major cheating act reported in the qualifiers of the competition. The first one was Dubs fn who was accused of using hacks for the competition. Yet, he was not found guilty by Epic Games and he is still playing in the circuit.
This time, it was a competitive player, HighSky of Raised by Kings who accused XXiP of cheating. He showed a video evidence whee friends of XXiF landed near him. The trio was on the south of the volcano, The Pirate Camp and had decent resources to fight against XXiF. Instead they “intentionally” fired at a brick and destroyed a chest near them. HighSky believes that this was a strange act in the qualifiers and insisted that the duo let XXiF get the easy kills.
Evidence Builds On
Apart from this video, HighSky also said that he has a couple of more clips, where we see the same behavior. One of the is back from the seven-season while another one is from these qualifiers. In the 2nd video, one of the players lets XXiF kill him off without a fight.

The video evidence has angered many Fortnite streamers and players. They are convinced that HighSky is telling the truth and are demanding to band XXiF. Ali “SypherPK” Hassan is asking Epic remove the cheaters from the competition. He said that players work day and night to fight for this spot. While these stupid kids spoons feed them all the kills. Nick “Thiefs”, Timothy “Bizzle” Miller and Nick “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff have also shared their opinions on the twitter thread.
What will be the verdict?
XXiF did comment on the charges. He is surely in a tough spot and the developer won’t think twice before banning him. Earlier, Epic Games blocked more than a thousand accounts during the qualifiers at the Fortnite World Cup. Most players were banned from participating in tournament games for 14 days.
Dubs was not found guilty owing to the lack of evidence. But XXiF is in the hot seat since he has been found guilty by the community in three different clips.
The third open qualifiers for the Fortnite World Cup took place from April 27 to April 28. LAN finals will take place from July 26 to 28 in New York. The prize fund of the tournament is $ 30 million.
