What is quite possibly CS:GO’s biggest ever update was patched into the game March 13, and after a few weeks of online play and one major LAN event, our own Colin McNeil just wouldn’t shut up about it.
Is the new round loss bonus system broken? Is CS:GO ruined forever? Did Astralis finally get nerfed? Not quite, but, at least according to Colin, it still sucks.

i feel they did this in dota to comeback mechanics with hero gold….in a patch around TI7(i think) to make the game friendly for new players… Was this after cs:go became free? i wonder..
Vavle started actually making changes and you cry? Go make a frag video and let the pros and the actual community that is playing the game to know what is actually bad or not
This company/channel allows this dude freedom to have a ranting nerd rage about how he's smarter than Valve
DONT @ ME
so
much
PASSION
@theguyinthevideo
What happened to the sound?
This is confirmation bias in a nutshell
idk, i think this guys is right. old eco is better
Youtubers are idiots just like you and that's why they aren't pros!. They think they know everything but they are so wrong most of the time!
Less eco rounds
I've been playing TF2 what's this.
@
The losing team can be more relentless in their approach knowing that one win round could give them an economic advantage over the winning team.
that is only reaveling the talent of the good player and the strategic players and as we can see aim always win so if they are bad it is sure that they will say it sucks because they cant win like every hater of fortnite but that doesnt mean the update is bad they just need to change their strategic and be less aggressive
It definitely seems a bit suspicious that the economy changed right now. Why punish Astralis for being the best team. Why help other teams reach Astralis? If the other teams really want to win, they'll have to work for it. That's what Astralis did.
Your counter arguments are more convincing than your weak ass argument lol
This patch is not bad at all really, the more money means more utility for teams overall +1 To Aastralis and does allow for more gun rounds, it also means I don't have to buy deagle armor in more than 4 rounds and I can get ak armor buy. This patch has made the game more t sided since t side can afford aks on more rounds not allowing ct side to win a landslide victory every time they get the ba rolling it also means that more rounds where util can be used and more clever buys and plays overall update was good not bad
Holy shit. No. This is one event. Hell it's fucking blast pro too.
I believe it's perfectly balance like you guys are saying that Ts are now risk takers and CTs have to save economy but the thing is the Ts will go into Ctand CT to T after 15 rounds so yeah it is balanced.
The problem with your comparison of Blast Sào Paulo and Lisbon is that while there may have been the same teams and format, the players could have been the same, the small difference of teams that where changed as well as the player roster on those same teams could have been changed as well, as a small difference in these teams may lead to drastic changes in team dynamics and skill levels.
The point of the patch wasnt to make games closer…if games are more one sided it just means that the team that do dethrone astralis will be god tier
sheettttttttttt @theScore esports
First i see first round money go from 1400 to 1900. Now this. I think csgo is becoming more for player who find the game too hard. This shows why i play 1.6 from time to time
The change doesn’t matter, Astralis was going to win anyways
this one is an oof from me, better luck next video lol
Dam seems like your heated for this video lol. Hating on australis a bit much
1 lan does not provide enough data to say this update is garbage
Adapt.
i guess the counter question to "what did this patch fix" is: what did this patch break exactly? sounds like by this guy's admission it didn't break shit at the highest levels of play, the best team still won by a large margin and all that (and when you think about it, what kind of patch change would it take to actually dethrone them that wouldn't fuck over everyone else from the top down?)
i'm pretty convinced that capital g Gamers just have a weird aversion to comeback mechanics in general. every genre complains about comeback mechanics because Gamers like to rest on their laurels if they secure an early advantage and don't like being surprised. well, i think you should have to show up to every round until the game is over and not get complacent and truly work for that win. the fact that this patch hasn't helped astralis' opponents one bit just makes them even more impressive
what a bad video
This is what happens when fortnite players try to hate on csgo
Valve are pros at fucking things up. Hence the revolver, danger zone blah blah.
Also, say the fuck word more often please Colin, it's so clean from you lmao.
This is a change that clearly suits the newcomers and should only be applied to Casual mode. Competitive should stay untouched, and yes I’d say it’s just dragging out matches that should finish 8-10 rounds earlier.
Also what’s more spectacular than upsetting the stage when you are on eco?
Teams change, match-ups change, there is variation. Cherry picking 2 events and comparing them is a bit of a joke. Its ok to just have an opinion without having to use shitty statistics to justify it.
How is it bad? I don’t see anything wrong. It makes it more interesting!
your last statement couldn't be more true
Interesting video tbh
Its totally ok lol I doubt you even play cs man lmso
Even if you ignore how little this changes anything. What's the point? They want to shrink the skill gap? Economy has been a main mechanic of CSGo for a long time. All this does is make economy less punishing. Why not just ditch the economy and let everyone buy whatever they want? That way it will truly be about skill. No opportunity to snowball, no chance for the team on the backend to feel bad for losing. Isn't a comeback more satisfying if it's hard to do and most importantly, rare?
