Cloud9 mix things up with cajunb spice

Cloud9, the North-American organisation, have officially signed René “cajunb” Borg.

On 30th March, Jarek “DeKay” Lewis had reported that cajunb was in talks with Cloud9 and a move to Cloud9 for the 29 year old Dane following his removal from OpTic’s roster, in the latter part of March.

Cloud9 have made multiple roster changes this time. The team recently began a trial for vice, following the departure of flusha, who decided to take an extended break from Counter-Strike due to the unfortunate demise of his mother during IEM Katowice Major 2019.

Cajunb will be used to fill in the spot made by kioShiMa’s departure on the 1st of April 2019. With kioShiMa’s departure, Cloud9 will have to play through the Americas Minor if they stick with this roster as the team has lost majority of the team which played IEM Katowice Major under the Cloud9 banner.

In his own statement, cajun revealed his emotions upon joining the team, “When you join an organization like Cloud9 there will always be a lot of pressure and expectations. I will do my best together with my teammates to make sure we succeed and make the fans proud.”

Jonathan Tran, Cloud9 CS:GO General Manager added, “I’m excited for a veteran like cajunb to begin playing with Cloud9. I believe he can teach our young players a lot from his years of experience in Counter-Strike. Welcome to the C9FAM.”

To conclude, Jack Etienne, Cloud9 CEO & Owner said, “It’s rare to see such an extensive esports career as cajunb has, so we’re really pleased about getting a chance to work with him. Welcome to Cloud9, cajunb!”

The following team will be competing at BLAST Pro Series Miami, on the 12th and 13th of April:
